I liked Ghost Story, with Fred Astaire and Douglas Fairbanks Jr., because it was actually scary. There wasn't a lot of blood and gore. It was just an overall creepy atmosphere...you weren't sure what was going to happen next. I know a lot of people didn't like the movie because they had already read the book and didn't feel it was close enough to the book. I watched the movie first, and enjoyed both it and the book. I remember it scared me when I was little. Did anyone else see it and like it?

I have it on DVD. I like it alot.
The beginning scene where they are telling the story about the guy being buried alive, always creeped me out the worst.
It was filmed in Vermont.

I loved that movie. My husband hated it- he hates "scary" movies. It really scared the crap out of him! I've never read the book- I'll hafta put it on my "to read" list!
