I am desperately seeking the names of 2 eighties movies. I'm sure one of you can help me, and I appreciate it.
1st movie I saw as a child and I don't remember the name. I do remember it being about a young boy who lives alone with his mom and finds an evil ventriloquist doll that tells him to do evil things. I think he finds him in a trunk in a barn or something.
The 2nd movie will be a bit more of a challenge because I didn't even see it. All I remember is the movie poster. On it you see a teenage girl lying in a coffin next to a skeleton with a red baseball cap. I'm assuming the skeleton is suppose to be her dead boyfriend or something and I think I remember her being in a bathing suit or a night gown or something. I suppose it's a horror movie and I'm pretty sure it's from the eighties.
So if any of you recognize what movies I'm speaking of, please help me.

Thanks Bionic, I'll check it out. I'm looking around..there's quite a few movies about evil ventriloquist dolls...but I can't find the one I'm looking for. My french roommate said it sounded like a movie she saw as a child called: "Le Pantin Diabolique"

"Making Contact" follows a young boy named Joey who discovers he has telekinetic powers after his father's death and can make his toys come to life. One toy ventriloquist doll named Fletcher, however, fills Joey with terror as a battle between the forces of good and evil begins. "Making Contact" is the English language version of the original German film known as "Joey", which contains about 20 minutes of footage not included in the English version.

The first film is definitely NOT "Magic" (1978). That one was about a magician's assistant (and not a kid) who becomes a famous ventriloquist whose personality is overcome by the dummy.
