You.

What is something that is unique about you that you take pride in and really find it as a true quality to your personality.

I think that my honesty is the most important thing. I really treat someone the way that I want to be treated. I do have to say that if someone does something really horrendous to me then I am done with them.

My motto that I like to live by treat others the way that you want to be treated. I am such a firm believer in this.

I like to do things for people that are deserving. Who wants to help someone out that treats you bad. Oh well I have rambled and rambled on.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Hmmmmm....I don't know if there is anything left about me to tell, that I haven't already told.

This is a toughy...

I am very much like what I am on here in person.

I don't lie about anything, unless it is one of those things to spare someone's feelings type things, but I don't like it when people tell me things that I find out later they completely made up. I know people that constantly lie about everything to everybody, and I can't stand it.

I treat everyone I know with respect.

I feel like I really respect and value life, and I wish more people did and realized that no matter how bummed you ever feel, that life can change in an instant, and tomorrow things you worried about today, might not even matter.

I value friendship, and once someone is my friend, I don't ever blow them off. I see that happen so much, I have had it happen to me, your friends with someone, and out of the blue you see them in a store, and they pretend like they never saw you before in their life, and you know you didn't have a fight, nothing happened, they just for some reason, move on, and I don't like that at all, I never understand how people are capable of that.

Something that would surprise people though....hmmmm...once in the middle of November ( gee..this is appropriate timing)...it was in 1986....my Grandparents built an indoor swimming pool, and they put the inground pool in, and the building wasn't up yet...my Grandma said she would pay me $5 to dive in the pool in my underwear, it was beyond freezing, but hey...$5 is $5....and I did it!!! I have the pictures to proove it...right Valley- [Wink]

I think it would surprise people, because I have such a reputation of being a complete prude, which I totally am, so that was actually something pretty daring even back then for me. [Wink]

I am not scared of the dark, not any more, but I use to be...I use to check under my bed every night before getting in it to make sure there was nobody hiding under there. I think I did that until I was about 21!!

Between the clown in Poltergeist, and The Shining previews, and the Salem's Lot kid floating up to the window, it is a wonder I got any sleep in the 70's and 80's.

Hm . . .

I sleep with the covers over my head, and since seeing The Grudge, I've since been checking to make sure the clicky woman won't come out of the covers and suck me into the bed.

I find myself eating M&M's and looking at the cover with the M&M characters and thinking, "If I were the green M&M, I would SO go for the yellow M&M over the red M&M."

I also recall thinking, "The Flinstones weren't very practical." and "If Batman and Spiderman were in a fight, who would win?" I figured it'd be Batman, even if I like Spiderman better, but then I thought, "But I like Michael Keaton better than Tobey Maguire. If Tobey Maguire and Michael Keaton were in a fight, who would win?" I figured it'd be Michael Keaton. I mean, he's friggin' Beetlejuice. Tobey Maguire, although talented and pretty good-looking, was a character in Pleasantville.

I've had some back problems and the floor gives my back the best support while sleeping. The only thing that keeps me from getting a smaller apartment is that I own way to much stuff I need the space.

Let me say that...my mom just invested in a top of the line mattress, because she has had 3 back surgeries, and several vertabre fused together in the back of her neck. The best investment anyone can make, is buying a good mattress. We spend so much on tvs, and movies, and going out to eat, but getting a good night's sleep totally effects your health, and everyone goes to sleep every night. I was doing alot of research on it for my mom, and lack of quality sleep can lead to all kinds of health problems.
I know this isn't movie related, but I just wanted to give ya a little tip Sam...Invest in a good mattress system, you'll be glad you did.

I don't have the money to afford a good mattress and my credit rating is less than perfect.

I took swimming lessons as a tot, but I charmed the instructor into carrying me around the pool under her arm the whole time!

I'm just about fed up with my boss at the radio station. I want to quit as soon as the Christmas and football seasons end.

The boss is making me work longer on nights and weekends, he stole my cookie, and he leaves the bathroom a mess.

I love you C.T!
I was going to post that I am afraid of the dark. And you beat me to it. I also loved your LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN POST.

Well anyway...I am very afraid of the dark: especially sleeping in the dark alone: I have lava lamps I put on when I have to sleep alone, the hall light too and I also lock myself in the room.
Another interesting thing is I sleep in a Captains bed...so I dont have an "under the bed" that a Boogeymans hand can grab my foot from when I get in bed. My guest room has a captains bed and my daughters room has a trundle bed....so no one has a bed that a hand can pop out of.
I also check closets.
I guess theres no real title for this phobia so lets just call it the"watches too many horror movies/Thinks theres a Boogeyman" fear.

HEY stitch I'm scared of CLOWNS TOO!!! I used to have dreams that a demonic killer clown used to chase me with an axe! And i used to drink to much coke too untill it gave me kidney and back problems and my doctor said enough!

OH MY GOD MAMAMIASWEETPEACHES said she LOVES ME! i'm starting to blush. I also lock my bedroom door too and sleep with a pistol-grip shotgun under my bed. Especially after reading about THE NIGHT STALKER in the 80s in CALI. Till this day i think about that when i hear a BUMP IN THE NIGHT. And wonder if there could be someone out there that wont's to be a copycat of THE NIGHT STALKER.

Wouldnt it make for a great Reality TV Show: they take those of us that are afraid of the dark and put us all in a huge bad and see who lasts the longest.
They do FEAR FACTOR stuff to us like have hands come out of the bottom of the bed, the closet door open just a crack, clown dolls and ventriliquist dummys in the room.
I wonder who would win.
(My moneys on the guy with the shotgun!)

~My trivial knowledge is wide-ranging, esoteric and legendary.
~While not afraid of the dark or clowns, I am very frightened of large gatherings of mullets.
~I pump iron 4-5 days a week.
~My navel is pierced.
~I took the Red Cross lifesaving swim course, but never finished it...however, if we were to fall out of a boat together I do know how to make floatation devices out of clothing.

MAMAMIASWEETPEACH DO YOU REMEMBER THAT MTV REALITY SHOW CALLED "FEAR" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT? IT CAME ON MTV. WHERE THEY WOULD PUT PEOPLE IN OLD MENTAL WARDS AND HAUNTED JAILS. I THINK THE SURREAL LIFE CAST HAD TO GO ON "FEAR". THEY WOULD STRAP A CAMERA TO YOUR NECK AND SEND YOU INSIDE THE SCARY BUILDING.
