In less than an hour...I am leaving for Cindymancini's house...we are off to meet the 2 Coreys tomorrow. We'll tell them you all said Hi! Hopefully Freddie Krueger won't get us (he will be there too)...If I get a chance to talk to him....I'll ask him why he's not in the new movie, and then you'll all know.
Have a great weekend everyone!!

What? Are the two Coreys squaring off in one of those celebrity boxing matches this weekend or something? Because I'm watching the trainwreck that is "The Two Coreys" every Sunday night and they are currently are saying they will never be friends ever again. ha

Somebody must have offered more money for them to reconcile again. I saw the episode where Feldman and his wife went to Corey's house and it wasn't pretty. It's amazing what two washed up has beens will do for publicity and money lol. Corey Haim is a sad situation because you can obviously tell he's on something and he keeps denying it. Part of me feels sorry for him and part of me says you've been given every chance in life and keep screwing it up so deal with it. I think alot of the show is scripted nonsense........

Yep, I agree with ya. At the end of the season finale, Haim was basically saying that his friendship with Feldman was over (ha ha how many times now?).

Totally Awesome Cindy and Isis!

Great pics Ms. Mancini....oh and I loved the "Blown Away" subliminal movie reference too. Nicole Eggert would be proud.

I am home from Cindymancini's.

It was a total blast. We got to her house late on Friday, and she and I stayed up until really late watching "The Lost Boys"...so we could prepare for our day.

We could not believe how many people were there...it was jammed packed. We talked to people waiting in line, and they had been there for hours.

We lucked out on Corey Haim, because we got their at 1pm, he was at lunch, but we were at the beginning of the line...we met this great group of people...and they held our place in line, while Cindymancini and I went to see Jason Mewes-he remember her from when we met him at Chiller Theatre in May....we went back in line, and we waited around for about 1 1/2 hours... Corey Haim had gone to lunch....but then we are standing there...and he comes walking right up beside us...and says "hey guys...I'll see you inside in a few minutes"... he was pretty much out of it...and it was sad...because I don't think he can help it at all.

I got this bad feel for people who bad mouth the celebrities that they are standing in line to see...because they don't have any problem selling that person autograph on Ebay.

We got to be friendly with the staff-they are all volunteers who do it mainly because they want to meet people too, so we got to be at the head of Corey Feldman's line, because of the staff people, and a girl we met who was a vendor.

I think we might have recruited a new member to the Rewind....he was one of the staff at Monster Mania. I actually gave Corey Haim my buisness card...and I wrote the website on there...and told him about it....he did say my name over and over...so maybe he'll come check it out.

Corey Feldman was in a room all by himself with his wife, and he was very nice...he thought he recognized Cindy from somewhere....we said maybe he saw her on Meredith Salenger's website, and he said he's never seen her website...but he was really polite...I didn't even get his autograph (I just got Corey Haim's)...I was there more for Cindymancini to "Dream a Little Dream" and to take pictures....but Corey Feldman asked me my name and actually shook my hand and said it was nice to meet us.

We did see the guy who sang the song "Cry Little Sister", he was performing it that night at the Lost Boys reunion.

We got some cool pictures with people dressed up. People really get in to that horror stuff.

I liked going around to the vendors. We found a cool guy who had a ton of "out of production" stuff...that he put on DVD.

I got a bunch of horror movies...most of them I haven't seen...

one of them is "Don't go to Sleep", I remember someone on here writing about that movie and saying how they had been looking for it forever.

I got: Silent Scream, Curtains, Night of the Creeps and the guy said....I bet you guys would like this movie...and he held up "Little Darlings"...we grabbed it up....and watched it last night.

We had a really fun time. We went to the Mohegan Sun Casino last night, and ate at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant, it was really fun.

Cindymancini has every main person's autograph now on her "Dream a Little Dream" DVD.

Corey Feldman was dressed like Michael Jackson...he came in the room with some sort of white glittered soldier's jacket on, and he had his hair pulled back in a pony tail.

Good pics! How can Haim "not help" being out of it all the time? I don't feel a bit sorry for him. I've known people who've been given far less chances than him who have kicked the habit and stayed clean.........

Love Mohegan Sun. I have visited it quite frequently. So many good bands play there.

Must have been some "lunch" Haim was out to.

Glad you had fun though.

I forgot I also bought the movie "The Boogens"...so I am set for Halloween for watching scary movies all month that I have never seen.

You know what was hysterical...was that when we saw Corey Haim come walking up beside us...Cindymancini said...that's like seeing Bigfoot... It is so weird to see someone who's face you know from the movies...and there they are wandering around.

I did get to talk to a guy who is a WWF guy...his name is "The Blue Meanie"...Brian Heffron. I don't know if you guys will know who he is, but he's done several independant horror movies with my cousin...and she told me to say hi to him, so I did talk to him for a little bit.

The thing about these things that blows me away is the amount of money people spend going to them...and also people who don't even know who the celebrities are...and have never seen their movies...but yet they just want a picture with them because they were a celebrity.

I have to say, yesterday was an awesome time! I was so glad to hang with Isis and I was really proud that we found our way to Cherry Hill...hahaha [Smile] ! Downtown Philly is a pain in the a$$ to drive.

Anyways, when we finally reached the hotel, I got kind of nervous. There were people, literally, everywhere. Parking was a whole other story but we lucked out after searching around for a few minutes.

There were lines coming out of all different entrances. It was chaos. We went in and asked around as to where Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were signing. We were told they were in totally separate areas, in fact, Corey Feldman was on a totally different floor. We found Haim's line and it was down the one whole side of the building. We ended up talking to this guy and he pretty much let us cut the line and stand with him and his friends for a few. Me being me, got impatient and wanted to leave and walk over to see where Jason Mewes was but Isis, having better sense than me, didn't think we should leave the line. The guy who let us in line was like, go so Mewes, I'll hold your place for you in line. I was skeptical but we went and came back and he was a man of his word. Thanks again Anthony!!

Jay Mewes was awesome. I was surprised but he remembered me from the Chiller convention in May. We talked and joked around for a bit. He told me and Isis about a movie he just wrapped in Canada where he plays a serial killer. He signed my dvd for me and I asked if I could get another picture with him. He was so cool and was like "Absolutely!!"

We then went back into the Haim line and waited for what seemed like forever. He had gone on a lunch break and at first I wasn't believing it and I was starting to think us meeting him would never happen but then out of nowhere he just walked up the sidewalk that was right along side of all of us. He smiled and said hello and was very friendly and made his way into the hotel.

Eventually we were escorted inside. They had it set up for groups of 25 people at a time. They took us into this ballroom area that had really ambient lighting. There were rows of chairs lined up and we had to file in and sit in a seat. Corey finally walked in, sat down and the table and said hello to everybody who was waiting.

I noticed he was kind of fidgety with the markers on the table and was like, talking to himself. One by one, we got to go up to the table and get our autograph and picture.

It was just kind of surreal to actually lay eyes on him. I honestly never thought it would happen. Corey was very nice, friendly and tried his best to joke around and converse with everyone for a minute or two but I was concerned. He was dressed nicely but I was taken aback by how thin he appeared. He is still an attractive man, at 36 years old, but you can see the toll his choices in life have taken on his body. My heart went out to him. Overall, he was sweet and seemed happy to be around his fans. I got the feeling he appreciated it but almost didn't know how to process it or know what to do with the moment. I just wanted to take him home and make him some mashed potatoes and a steak [Smile] .

A funny moment was when Isis introduced herself to him and he kept saying her name over and over....almost like there was something about that name he fancied. It was cute. She gave him her business card and he was like, "Oh this is for me??" and told his assistant to put it in the cash box for safe keeping. I also remember overhearing his assistant say to another guy, that after a few minutes she thought he, as she put it, "Is starting to get loose...he was wired up at first but he's getting into it." I think they were worried about him too.

After we were done talking to Corey Haim, Isis and I decided to head over to meet Corey Feldman. Once again, we waited for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, we were escorted up to the 2nd floor in the hotel, in a group of 25 people. We were brought into this separate room where there were two round tables and a few rows of chairs lined up. It felt very isolated from the rest of the convention. It was super quiet in the room, despite the 25 fans sitting there waiting.

Corey entered the room from the rear and walked up the right side. There was definitely this little underlying feeling of star quality and showmanship as he walked in. He was wearing sunglasses and this Army General-looking outfit and he had a small ponytail. I just watched him make his way to the front of the room and seeing him and Susie and his clothes and hair, it was once again, a bit surreal.

He and his wife Susie, sat down at the table and Isis and I were among the first to get called up. As I approached the table, Susie said hi and I said hi back. Corey then said, "Hi, how are you? We've met before, haven't we?" I looked at him and kind of turned my head sideways and smiled and said, "No, I don't think so"...he said, "No, are you sure?" I said, "No" again and started laughing. He said, "We did..." I laughed and said, "No...unless it was like in another life or something..." He was like, "Wow, you have a twin, you totally have a twin." I said, "That's cool, I'd like to see that, how weird" and we all just laughed.

I asked Corey if he would sign my Dream A Little Dream dvd and he happily obliged. His wife was like "Here, use a blue marker since the other autographs are in blue." I laughed and thanked her and said to Corey, "She is so good."

Corey then saw Meredith Salenger's autograph already on the dvd and said how nice he thought she was. I agreed. She is a doll!!

I hate to say this but I was shocked at how nice and genuine Corey F. was through this whole thing. Once you get past the clothes and the glitter of it all, he such a down to earth man. I truly enjoyed his company. I shook his hand, we got a few pictures and when he had his arm around me, even after the pictures were taken, he was like rubbing my back. I thought, oh no way, this guys is super nice and really very normal.

He then talked to Isis for a bit and she told me how nervous she got. He was really cool to her too and shook her hand. He thanked us for coming to see him. We walked out of the room speechless because we both thought he was so beyond awesome. I'll tell you what, I'm an even bigger Corey Feldman fan now!! He just impressed me as such a put together, mature, appreciative, family man. He looked great. Very attractive!

It's so nice to see actors from my generation holding up and looking and doing well now that we're all in our thirties. It is inspiring. I swear.

After meeting Corey F., we walked around the convention and checked out some vendor booths. Both of us picked up some OOP dvd's and were out of our mind cause it really was just a fun day!!

So all that being said, yes, yesterday was wonderful. Do I wish Corey Haim was a little more settled, sure, but it was just good to see him there doing his thing.

Thanks Isis for going and being cool and for making it such a memorable weekend [Smile] !!

I hope you guys enjoyed our convention tales [Smile] !! I know I had fun living them!

What happened to the look of the Rewind...while we were gone it got a make over....and it's funny because I told Corey Haim that his picture was on the main page with Meredith Salenger's. He said...oh cool...and I told him to check it out...now he'll be more confused.

I understand people saying things like he's been given a chance...but I think people reach a point that they have done so much damage to themselves...that their brain doesn't work right any more...and it's sad, because he was so cute and full of life in all his movies...and we watched The Lost Boys...and when he said "are you sniffing old newspapers" it's like they talked about drugs burning your brains out in movies they did...but then it happened for real...and now people seem to not have sympathy...and he probably knows that...I think that whole life style would be extremely lonely...because people want their picture taken with you...like your a national monument or something...but you can't even barely talk to them.

The guy we met who was a Staff person, he said that Robert Englund was spending too much time talking to his fans...which he said was great for the fans...but if they spend 1 minute with each person that's only 60 people per hour...and gosh half the time they were on a break...and there were thousands of people there....I think there are alot of people there that just are parading around in their crazy clothes and that they don't have any intention of meeting anyone. Like we did get pictures with people dressed up like Michael Meyers and The Killer Clowns from outer space.

Corey Feldman made me nervous...because I wasn't really there to get his autograph...or a picture with him....I always thought he was a little out there for me....with the clothing and the Michael Jackson impersonation type stuff....so when we were leaving....he stood up and asked me my name...in front of the whole room full of people, and I just could feel everyone watching us....and he said it was nice to meet us...and it almost felt like he wanted to talk to us more...but then we got the feel that other people are waiting...and you have to keep moving...so I got nervous because I felt like if you don't keep moving...they'll drag you out...or the other fans will riot on you.

Cindymancini is much prettier than Corey's wife, and you could kind of get the feel from Corey's wife that she was a little irritated with nobody giving her attention. When we were talking to "Anthony" and his crew of people...they had already met Corey Feldman...they said that he had his body guard with him, and that they seemed to be pushing Susie's stuff too, she had a bunch of pictures of her from Playboy...and they were kind of pushing her to sign autographs too....which Corey did say to her to sign Cindymancini's DVD cover...and she said "Im not in this movie".

I just hope that they actually have fun at those things. It just kind of feels very impersonal to me...and it's all about money. So, I actually was happy to know that Robert Englund was talking to his fans....that has to be cool.

Because when it comes down to it, he's just a regular guy to, in real life.

I'll post the picture that Corey Haim signed for me, later on.

Damn the Haimster looks bad... I feel for him! Had my own troubles with drugs and alcohol in the past, and it numbs you to the point where you just stop caring. But with that said, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, it is never to late to quit!

Oh...another thing that was weird for me about the whole thing...was the age of most of the people we were talking to was 25 years old. That kind of surprised me...I thought there would be more 30 something people there. I felt old enough to be everyone's mother. I just found out that Diane Lane is only 3 years older than me....I feel really old...especially when I look at the people who are in my age group.

The one I put up....it seems pretty new....I just sent Cindy one from 2006-and he actually looked older in that one that this one.

He looks so unhappy now, in all his pictures, he looks like he is ready to strangle someone....

But...like Cindy said...he seemed like he would have liked to have talked to people...but nobody really has a chance to do that....

I feel like if we would have stayed there at the hotel...we could have actually hung out with him...because the night before people said he had a beer in his hand, and he passed out in the grass...and everyone just left him there....I would have gone over and helped him up...I think what he went through as a kid had to be horrific...when you hear them talking about it on the Two Coreys...about the molestation....

alot of times...people do kick the drugs and alcohol ...but no matter what happens....the memory is still there...I think the more they think they can destroy their brain...the less they have to remember...or can't remember...but then they have destroyed their brain...and what's left.

How can they really hold down regular jobs...everyone would hound them constantly...I have a different outlook on celebrities now....

I don't like it when people track them down and expect them to drop everything they are doing to sign autographs....they are entitled to their privacy and they don't owe the public anything when they are out on the streets doing their normal life...

now...when they come out to events like this...then I really think these events should be better organized and I don't think it is right to leave people standing around in line all day long while you hang in your room, or go to lunch. I think they are allowed to take bathroom breaks and eat a 1/2 hour lunch...like anyone else does...working a regular job....but it is very rude to not respect people's time.

I think it goes both ways...and I just got a totally different feel for all of it...each way.

The best part to me....was talking to the people in line....and watching the people...

There was another staff guy standing in line with us...and he had this bottle on his neck, and I thought it was some kind of novelty thing...but inside the bottle was a real live bee...it was red and black striped....I said...is that alive? I never saw a bee that color ever....and he said yeah, he found it and stuck it in there. I said...how's it getting any water or air...and he said he might give it a drink later..if it didn't die...he said he might let it go when he was done with it...or he might kill it....I said...don't kill it...it's been your buddy and hung out with you for days, and it's dressed like Freddie Kruger...so leave it go. He told me about this place that sells live bugs...and they put them on a chain, and pin the end of the chain to your clothes, and then the beetle crawls around on your shirt. It's called Live Jewelry. Isn't that crazy?

But...where else would you see that at. We saw all kinds of stuff. We did see Danielle Harris from Halloween...she was standing out front near where we were.

It was interesting to see what people were wearing...it actually wasn't scary to me...like I thought I would fear the people more than I did. We were wearing black, so we did blend in a little bit...allthough when it started getting hot out...we kind of were regretting our choice of colors to have worn.

We were coming off the elevator...and the girl we were with told me her name...and I told her mine...and some guy must have heard me say my name...cause he yelled My name....and then he kept saying it over and over and over...until I turned and looked to see if I actually knew who he was...but I didn't...but I waved at him and said hi...and he said hi....I just think he was goofing around...

so...everyone seemed to be pretty nice...

Has anyone else on here been to any of these type of things?
