There was a movie I loved as a kid and watched about a million times (and yet I hardly remember anything about it. The lead was a girl who was maybe 16, she was a geek that wanted to go out with a popular boy and someone (step mom maybe) got her a makeover. Dad freaked out. And I think there was some voodoo dancing in the street stuff? One of the final scenes was her coming down the stairs in a fancy dress. Help! What's the name of this stupid movie! LOL
