I just found out TOM PETTY is playing near me this summer. I am going to get tickets with my sisters. I have always wanted to see him play live and never have.
I remember a few years ago he was playing around my birthday and I thought for sure SOMEONE in my family would "surprise" me with tickets. Well, surprise surprise: No one did!
I could have sworn I heard he wasnt going to be touring anymore (?) and I assumed that last tour was his last one.
Anyone see him before? Anyone going to see him this time around?

We make it a point to catch Tom everytime they do a tour and stop in NC. They put on a great show and by all means if you can go! He's also playing the SuperBowl halftime show this year....

I love Tom Petty but I've never seen him live. I'm looking forward to seeing him on the Super Bowl halftime show.

I saw Petty once before...way back in 1983. Great show!
And I never believe it when I hear that a singer or a band says that it's going to the his/her/their "last" tour. Look at the KISS "Farewell" tour in 2000...and they came back to tour a few years later! And Cher's "Farewell Tour" went on several years!
