I am going to go watch it here very soon. I just got it on DVD, and I never saw it before.

I looked it up, cause I didn't know who the 2 main charcaters were, I never heard their names or saw them in anything before.

It says Caren Kaye is in Teen Witch- which I am waiting to see.

And Matt Lattanzi- he was in Xanadu, and he was in Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" (maybe the video?) and he was in Grease 2. Maybe he and Olivia were friends??or something...he's awfully cute. Does anyone know for sure?

Does anyone else remember this movie? What did you think??

Matt Lattanzi and Olivia Newton John I know were at one time married but don't know if they still are.

Carren Kaye was the mother in the TV show It's Your Move

All too well. We went to North Myrtle Beach in 1983 right after our spring semester ended and one of the guys I shared a house with was determined to drag us to see this movie at night. (Apparently he had never heard of beer, bars and college girls. Go figure.) I eventually saw it, but not until it hit cable. Pretty bad, as 80's teen flicks go, but to this day I can guarantee that if I say "Anybody want to go see "My Tutor"?", someone will laugh.

Isis, I love My Tutor! I think you will enjoy it too. It was one of those movies I can remember sneeking out to the living room to watch on HBO while my parents were asleep [Smile] . Once you watch it you'll have to post your thoughts. It's funny cause Caren Kaye's character is supposed to be 29 years old in the movie, which is my age now, yet she seems so much older.

I didn't realize Matt Lattanzi was also in Xanadu. I knew he looked familiar. I will have to watch it again. The other person that's famous in this is Crispin Glover. You can tell he's gearing up to be George McFly next...hahaha. Enjoy [Razz] !

Wow! I watched the whole thing last night. Matt was so good looking, but his voice was so soft and feminine-so that was a little bit of a turn off about him.

After seeing it, I remembered stuff from it, so I know I had to have seen it on HBO in the 80's.

I didn't know that he was married to Olivia Newton-John, they would have been too cute together.

I loved the movie. The whole aerobics work out at the beginning went on forever, but I took aerobics in the 80's, so I remember the leotards with the little belts with them and the headbands and legwarmers.

Crispin Glover ( what a name, it sounds like his dad was Colonel Sanders) he was hilarious in that movie...the other guy that was the friend that was always trying to get the women-I have seen him before in other stuff too.

Yeah, I thought Caren Kaye seemed extremely mature, and I thought she must have been in her early 40's, but she said 29- she could have been lying though.

I loved her clothes in the movie (when she was wearing any). And I loved Matt's clothes. I loved him with the white short sleeved preppy shirt and jeans and deck shoes, and I liked the muscle shirts, the ones with no sleeves. He looked sharp.

The thing I absolutely loved the most, was their house! It was gorgeous.

That is what I loved about even low budget movies of the 80's, they knew how to get the right house, the right clothes, everyone was rich, and living really well, and I love the whole look of that lifestyle.

I definately liked this movie- [Big Grin]

I had a Spanish Tutor in high school, cause I hated taking a language, I never could get the hang of it at all, half the time I barely speak proper Engilsh, let alone to try and speak another language, and I wanted to drop it from my curriculum, but I couldn't cause I was taking Liberal Arts. So, I asked my Spanish teacher for a tutor.

So, I got an older guy tutor, it was funny because I had injured my knee on a trampoline, and was on crutches, so a friend of mine would come carry my books for me to class, which she loved...because she got out of her classes early to come get me, so I didn't get run over by other students, and we had the key to the elevator-cause I couldn't do the stairs, so that was kind of cool. But, I can remember her taking me down to the cafeteria, to meet "my tutor"..and she knew him...and she thought he was totally "hot", and I didn't know him, but she was like telling me I was so lucky he was my tutor.

But, I think he and I might have meet in the cafeteria a couple times, and then he started liking me, and wanted to come to my house to "study", and once I was out riding my bike, and he followed me, and it is funny...because I ended up not liking him like he liked me, and I didn't know what to tell my spanish teacher about why I wanted to give up being tutored, so I switched to french instead. Ha!

Isis, I knew you'd like the clothes. That's one of the things that sticks out to me about this movie. The aerobics part is cheesey but it's so classic 80's that you have to love it. As for the house, yeah, it was pretty perfect. I'll take a nice inground pool and the ability to take a night swim anyday [Roll Eyes] .

I know Cindy! I love that pool, it was huge, and totally secluded. She had some nerve telling him to quit spying on her, I mean it was his house, and if she didn't want looked at...put a bathing suit on.

I like the striped shirt she is wearing when they go to the french restaurant, and I like the jumpsuit, shorts combo thing she is wearing, that she un zips and has her bikini top on under it. I had those same short set outfits.

I miss "cute" clothes. I said that to my mom yesterday, cause she was wearing a sweat shirt and I had on a t-shirt and jeans, and I said..man we look like bums...and I am not that old, my mom had adorable clothes when she was my age, cause I wore all her clothes, and I can't find nothing like those clothes any more. I liked the pink strapless dress she was wearing at the party when the Dad was hitting on her.

I use to wear tank top dresses all the time, and colored blazers over top of them, and high heels all the time, and I never see women wearing dresses ever.

The thing I miss are the sailor shirts. I saw Lisa Eilbacher wearing one in the Hardy Boys. They were so cute. The whole sailor stuff was cool. I had a cute skirt and a top that looked like a sailor outfit and I loved it.

I use to wear mini skirts all the time just to the movies- I always dressed like the girls from the ZZTop videos just to go out to eat. You never see people dressed like that any more.

I wore scrunchie boots, and denim boots, and candies shoes, and little bootie shoes, I had like 20 pairs of shoes in the 80's. I have like 3 pair now, and winter hiking boots.

I just ordered myself a new pair of Nike Cortez sneakers, I got the red and white ones, that Tom Cruise wore in Risky Buisness, cause that was my school colors. I remember we always wore red and white baseball style shirts and our designer jeans( poreferably Sassoon or Jordache) and our Nike's. We had red and white saddle shoes too. Like the ones Lauren held up in Valley Girl.

I go in the stores now, and all I see for women is LIME green- yuck. In everything.

I want to buy new clothes for the beach this summer. I can't even find a cool bathing suit. I loved the one I had in the 80's, it was white on the top, and black on the bottom and it was a one piece, and I loved it.

I swear men have better clothes than women, to pick from.

I get 10 billion catalogs a day, and have not found one thing I want to order yet except an army green pair of pants. Last year I did buy a bunch of capri pants that have the string that tie at the legs- those are very 80's.

But, I want those shirts that tie on your arms, and have the boat style neck to them, that your shoulder kind of hangs out.
