Devo.. the one hit wonders shows are always fun. Of course, it also starts the debate about how many of these artist are truly one hit wonders.

Some awesome tunes on that list though..

i don't really think flock of seagulls are one hit wonders even though that is their most famous song. i thought photograph was a hit too.

big country had so many good songs too bad they only had one hit.

same with devo, bow wow wow, edie brickell, madness, xtc, boomtownn rats, and the church. these bands may have had one song people remember but they had more than one hit, in my opinion.

The people who made this list should be punched in the stomach - hard! It isn't difficult to check your facts in the age of the internets.

Speaking strictly of the US...

VH1′s 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the ’80s:

02 Flock of Seagulls "I Ran (So Far Away)" [Photograph / Space Age Love Song]
03 A-Ha "Take On Me" [Sun Always Shines on TV]
17 Men Without Hats "The Safety Dance" [Pop Goes the World]
19 Dead or Alive "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" [Brand New Lover]
26 Cutting Crew "I Just Died In Your Arms" [I've Been in Love Before - a top ten hit!]
29 Madness "Our House" [It Must be Love]
32 Quarterflash "Harden My Heart" [Find Another Fool]
57 Jermaine Stewart "We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off" [Say it Again]
59 The Outfield "Your Love" [All the Love in the World / For You]
87 Vixen "Edge Of A Broken Heart" [Cryin']

I'm sure there are many others.

Incidentally, a big bunch of the songs they listed as 'hits' never cracked the US top 40. Funny how a well-known song can be a hit on this list without ever charting high, but a genuine hit doesn't count.

Completely pointless, and has rightly been pointed out already - woefully inaccurate!

As well as all the glaring errors already pointed out, I almost laughed out loud at Frankie Goes To Hollywood's inclusion

I suppose four consecutive UK number one singles with their first four releases doesn't count.... [Wink]

Idiots [Mad]

They include 'I Don't Like Mondays', which got to about # 70, but not Frankie's classic 'Two Tribes', which got to # 43. Where's the logic?
