Night of the Demons also received surprisingly positive reviews in Daily Variety, Orbit Video Review, Martin and Porter's "Video Movie Guide" and Steven Scheuer's "Movies on Video Guide" -- as well as in Fangoria, The Splatter Movie Guide and other genre oriented publications.
Night of the Demons sold 45,000 initial video (rental) units, an enviable success in any terms.
Had "Night of the Demons" opened nationwide with the numbers it earned in Detroit, it was projected to have earned $13 million domestically in its opening weekend -- which would have ranked it among the top grossing horror films of its decade.

Hal Havins, also known as the loving Stooge, got his career started as a choir boy in the music video for the Oingo Boing/Danny Elfman song "Gratitude". Still had the blond mullet, just not as well groomed as he was in Night Of The Demons.

Linnea Quigley is the 80's "Scream Queen". She has appeared in several 80's horror films including: Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama, Return of the Living Dead, Creepozoids, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Witchtrap, Blood Nasty, and Silent Night, Deadly Night. She even played a soul coming out of Freedy Kruger's chest in A Nightmare on Elm St.4: The Dream Master.
Amelia Kinkade is the niece of The Golden Girls' Rue McClanahan, man hungry Blanche. Amelia appeared on an episode of The Golden Girls as a hooker arrested in a sweep with the girls.
