This was Fiorentino's second film role after her appearance in "
Vision Quest". She later appeared in "
After Hours" that same year.
In 1987, this movie eventually sparked a Nintendo video game entitled "Gotcha! The Sport!" The game was made by LJN, which also made a series of paintball toys from the game and the movie but were quickly taken off the shelves for obious reasons.

It's likely that this movie was one of the inspirations for the Richard Grieco vehicle "If Looks Could Kill".
Anthony Edwards of course also starred as Goose in "
Top Gun (1986) as well as Gilbert Lowell in "
Revenge of the Nerds" (1984) and "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise" (1987). He also played Dr. Mark Greene on "ER" for many years.
