'Fletch' is apparently soon to be revived for the big screen by Director Kevin Smith with a new Fletch in tow. The new Fletch, once to be played by Ben Affleck, will now be played by Jason Lee, with a script penned by Kevin Smith.
In Fletch's Lakers dream sequence the commentator is broadcasting legend, the late, Chick Hearn.

In the scene where Fletch first meets Alan, the alias he gives is Ted Nugent. Nugent, of course, is a legendary and controversial hard rock guitarist, famous for songs like Cat Scratch Fever and Stranglehold.
