In the 'AUDIO-COMMENTARY' of the 2001 Special Edition' DVD of "The Stuff", Director 'Larry Cohen' makes a note of some of the props/substances used for (as)'The Stuff'. Among them were (lots) of 'Häagen Das' ice-cream and 'Fire Hoses' extinguishing foam was used -- for one shot in-which an avalanche like wave of 'Stuff' crashes through a wall. For other larger shots, they also animated or matted in 'The Stuff'.
