The concept for Rose-Petal Place was created by David Kirschner and the cartoon was written by Mal Marmorstein. Kirschner began his career as an illustrator for Jim Henson's Muppets and Sesame Street characters. He was only 23 when he wrote and illustrated the Rose-Petal Place series of books. He, along with Steven Spielberg, executively produced the 1986 hit animated film "An American Tale".Next Section: Deleted Scenes
