Originally, the scene with the short bald guy, whose wife is cheating on him was to be much darker ...and end in bloodshed!The filmmakers decided that didn't work and decided to re-shoot the scene with a more comic approach.

A 20 Nov 1985 Variety article reported that writer Margo Drivas sued producer Bruce Cohn Curtis and Zupnik-Curtis Enterprises for a million dollars in damages, alleging Dreamscape was based on a 1979 story she wrote called “Lady in White.” The outcome of this lawsuit is not known.Next Section: Deleted Scenes
