The lake used by the filmmakers was more dangerous than they thought and almost claimed victims in real life.
Due to the altitude and the fact that the lake is fed from an underground spring, the water is very cold. So cold, in fact, that at least one of the actors suffered from hypothermia after swimming in it!
Despite choosing Arizona for filming because of the likelihood of decent weather for the Autumn shoot, the filmmakers had to endure really bad weather and lost at least 8 days to rain.
"The Raft" was apparently the first segment to be filmed.
Two of the stories, "Old Chief Woodenhead" and "The Hitchhiker" were originally considered for inclusion in Creepshow 1
When movies are made, scenes are often
left on the cutting room floor.
Sometimes, there will be several versions
of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
