Midnight Madness Locations
Under their watchful eye, the following special places were used for filming "Midnight Madness":
These scenes were actually shot at The Westin Bonaventure, located in Los Angeles, S. California. Google Map
The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, one of the ten most photographed buildings in the world, is a Los Angeles landmark.
For the carnival scene with Peggy and Lulu, that was filmed at the Pike in Long Beach. Unfortunately, it has been torn down, and is now the site of the new Queen's Way Bay shopping area.
Leon's apartment is at Hollywood Tower on Franklin and Gower streets in Hollywood. You can walk around the side and see where the police were searching Mrs. Grimhouse and all the cars were pulling out to go to the finishline.
The observatory is the Griffith Park Observatory. It is currently under a huge remodel. We found that the telescope is there, the parascope, and the large moon model that the meat-machine team member walks around.
We tried to find the piano museum based on the address given on Harold's computer, but the address doesn't exist. [Thanks to Niki Gewirtz]
Can you help? Do you know any of the Los Angeles, S. California (or any other) filming locations used for Midnight Madness? Please Update Us
Locations LinksIf you know of a good link for Midnight Madness locations, please let us know.
LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!
Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
