i just saw the alternate ending for night of the creeps on youtube. i loved it!
i don't think i ever even knew about this. i only have a vhs copy of the movie and would love to see it on dvd... and i'm not talking those dvds already being sold online but an authentic dvd release with this alternate ending. it would be nice to see some interviews with the cast as well.
has anyone else seen it?

"Thrill Me!"

NowhereGirl, I've always heard about an alt ending to "Night of the Creeps", but thought it might be just legend.

"I got good news and bad news, girls. The good news is your dates are here.....What's the bad news?.......They're dead."

One of the best b-movie horror films ever! The voice of his friend on the tape recorder is quite haunting.

"The TV edition has my original ending, which I made the mistake of showing to the studio before the opticals were finished...it was very poetic and moody. It was a much better, more interesting ending. I showed it to the studio and the effects weren't finished; there was a miniature and some light stands, and they didn't know what it was. 'What kind of ending is that?' 'The optical's not done.' 'We don't get it. Have a cheap scare at the end.'"

Hey Val, did I get my wish, or what? [Wink]

Ok I'm going to try this...

Modern Girls dvd..interviews with the cast, deleted scenes with Bruno X, a music video for Lions & Ghosts and a small feature on the LA night club scene in the 80s! [Cool]

Come on, you know that would so rule.

Ronnie.. it is almost as if Fred Dekker read this thread and said that 'NowhereGirl' seems to have a pulse on what "Night of the Creeps" fans truly want! [Wink]

My "Night of the Creeps" Blu-ray with its treasure chest of extras is the treatment we dream about for all of our 80's favs. The movie looks and sounds amazing, but the extras are what set it apart from most other 80's movies that have been released on Blu-ray.

If your wish for "Modern Girls" is eventually granted, then we will know this is a magic genie thread for sure. [Cool]

Please DVD/Blu-Ray gods, hear our prayers...

Modern Girls has become one of my Top 5, yeah, I think I said Top 5, 80's movies...I never tire of it or the music...an official release would be the holy grail!

I can't understand how it's gone untouched for so long...

I hope you're right Valley. I hope Ronnie has magical powers brewing in this thread & we see some action on MG like we did with Creeps.

I think that I prefer the conventional ending as perhaps I'm used to it.

The alternate conclusion is unusual, though.
