When I first joined the Rewind, there was a small glitch in the system...eveytime I chose a user name it would state "already used"...even at the end when I got frustrated and put something like "hfgjkdhgahafg"...."already used"....yeah right! Anyway, it eventually accepted kevdugp73, though, I think I would like something more unique. I didn't want to change things in the middle, as I was scared to lose my coveted 5 STAR RATING!!! Whatever that means...just how do you vote for stars anyway?

Sorry for the ramble...now on to business. Was wondering what everyone's name stands for (though some are obvious), and.....any suggestions for my new name?

kev, first off, I don't think you need to register a new account, all you have to do is change your "Publicly Displayed Name" in your profile settings.

Second, my suggestion would be to keep your new name close to your present name. Because we already know you as kevdugp73. Maybe you could shorten it to 'kevdug' or just 'kev'. I know it may not be as glamorous as 'thornton melon', but hey, after 1300+ posts, you are sort of cemented in as kev to me [Smile]

I don't think anybody who is so well established on here, such as you Kev and Muffy, should ever change your names....those names are how we know you. That goes for any well noted rewinders that have been on here for so long!

Thanks for the feedback guys...looks like I'll keep my name for now. I certainly can't deny that I really like the rapport I've built with my fellow Rewinders! Part of me wanted a change as I've felt in the past that I couldn't contribute like some of the old timers, though I hope to change that when my little guy goes to school in September....not that the Rewind will engulf my entire life now....I'd just like to be able to critique a bit more...debate a bit more. * Just wanted to say that I really enjoy coming on the Rewind...there's literally not one person in my life that shares my passion for the 80's....thankfully my wife loves 80's movies and music and has also supported my collecting habits....though maybe not as into the 80's as me and you guys....so thanks!

Being born in 73 as i am aswell Kev, you an i have that united feeling and is always good to see your name...its a great name, a great number to you and i so why change something that means as much to others as it undoubtedly does to you...and now after reading the posts in here just confirms that. you rock!
