There is a chase seen, part of which is on the DC Metro system.

Costner begins his chase on the historic C&O Canal towpath, then ducks into the Georgetown Mall entrance relabeled for the movie as the Georgetown Station of the Washington DC Metro (which does not exist), then jumps on a BALTIMORE Metro subway train, eludes his adversaries, then exits the subway at a station in the middle of Washington Mall (which also does not exist). This is a very popular sequence with transit buffs.
