I saw a movie in the Wal-Mart bargin bin with these two actors in it. It looked pretty steamy. Do any of you know it or better yet, know if it's any good? I probably should have just bought it for the Spader factor. I can't even remember the name of it now...geez.

I love Susan Sarandon! She's a MILF! [Big Grin]

Ewwwww Steven! She has a funny looking butt and she's all wrinkled up! Even when she was young she was fugly! That's one of the reasons I never enjoyed Bull Durham. It was not believable to me that any young OR againg ballplayer would be attracted much less fall in love with the likes of her! I mean with all the pretty younger girls throwing themselves at the players, why choose a skanky washed up old lady? There are planty of older women who still got it, but Ms. Sarandon NEVER had it! [Big Grin]

I have this in my DVR to watch, I recorded it a couple of months ago. I saw it once a long time ago and wanted to see it again. Must not have been to great because it obviously isn't one that gets watched over and over.

Apparently, you and I are very different. I have always loved the notion of the "older woman/younger man" romance or fling. Bull Durham plays right into my fantasy! [Smile]

While it is true that young bimbo types throw themselves at ballplayers (as they do in real life), the Susan Sarandon character is a woman who is unabashed groupie but is also very experienced in handling younger players, as well as being intelligent. I'll take that over youth, beauty, and inexperience anytime! [Smile]

Also, there is another thing to consider: Tim Robbins (who played the rookie pitcher Nuke LaLoosh) later got involved (partnered, not married) in real-life to Susan Sarandon, even though Susan is 12 years older than him. He is also the father of her two kids. For me, a fantasy fulfilled!

You're probably grossed out right now, eh? Well, good!

[Cool]

Yeah I am! I knew that she and Tim were "partners" but she's still oogly to me. I know lots of guys like the older woman thing, but at least pick somebody decent looking! In my opinion she is just nasty.

But at least you werent fantasizing about any of the Golden Girls. Were you? [Eek!] [Confused] [Cool]

Me too but it helps if the older woman is good looking and/or at least attractive. To me, she's neither one of those...

Well, I bought this darn movie today. I couldn't resist the Spader factor. It was done in 1990, perhaps right after Sex, Lies and Videotape. I have yet to watch it but I will soon and I'll let you guys know the verdict.

I remember this movie, I know I saw it, and I think I remember it being total trash.

I am in total agreement on Susan Sarandon...I never thought she was attractive, she's bugeyed looking, and she needs to wear a bra, holy cow in Thelma and Louise ....she was sagging all over the place, and that is really unattractive. She has aged ok though...cause I have said before the less attractive you are when your young...you don't age as bad as someone who is super good looking...cause it is so noticable.

Steven if you like older woman about 12 years older ...go for Olivia Newton-John and Christie Brinkley...they are aging very well.

I always had the hots for James Spader. A guy I used to hang out with (and make out with any chance I got!) looked like him. So I liked this movie. Who was even looking at Susan Sarandon? I just superimposed myself in her place!

I finally got around to watching this masterpiece the other night. I didn't hate it but I'm just not a big fan of Sarandon. The only movie I liked her in was The Banger Sisters with Goldie Hawn a few years ago. I was shocked to see she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in this movie [Confused] . Geez, maybe I missed something. Spader was good but sometimes his acting seemed to be intentionally bad. Perhaps he was not too impressed with the movie either and decided to not exert himself. Who knows. In any event, I'm glad I saw it. It was worth the five bucks and it broke up the night for me.
