Yet another great 90's movie. One of my favorites, along w/ Dazed and Confused. Both movies star Rory Cochrane and he's my favorite character in both (Lucas-Empire Records, Slater-Dazed and Confused). I also think this movie has a great early 90's soundtrack (such as - The Cranberries, Gin Blossoms, Toad The Wet Sprocket, and Better Than Ezra). That movie made me wanna work in a record store.

I loved that movie too. [Smile]
Awsome music and awesome cast.

If you like movies about record stores I would also recommend 'High Fidelity' with John Cusack.

Empire Records is a superb film, with a superb cast & soundtrack. Introduced a lot of people to actors like Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger, etc. It also has one of my favourite actors, Ethan Embry, so obviously that's a HUGE bonus !! [Big Grin]

I used to work in a record shop...every Sunday was called Empire Records Day, coz that was just what it was like !! [Big Grin]

Excellent Movie!! I just bought it on DVD. Its a movie everyone should see. Lucas can't be any funnier, and Mark is just adorable. I love that movie, great fun..

empire records is one of the best movies. i really like deb, despite the hostility. but its really all about eddie, he hooks it up with the pizza and the special brownies.
"do you even know where harvard is? its a place where big blond guys sit around rowing boats and eatin ivy."
but mark wins the cuteness prize. [Wink]

Yeah, i have a question bout Empire Records. When Eddie gives the cake (cake i guess) to Mark and says it's "special, and you know what that means", does he really says "lots of sugar in every version this movie could possibly have or they put it there because of ratings or something?
