Helen is right, Wicker Man was one of the neatest movies ever. I was sad that the Nicholas Cage version didn't make him the moral man that the original had. It gave that movie depth.

Watch Out We're Mad.

Saw it when I was a kid (my family and I still talk about this film), managed to find it on VHS, still so funny, laughed till I cried.

My favorite is Foul Play with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase. The fight scene between Burgess Meredith and Rachel Roberts is hilarious!
Also Halloween. I'm still waiting for Michael Myers to come kill me!

Warriors is the perfect 70's NEW YORK movie...even though its the 70's, you never can tell what decade the movie takes place in......

I mean in the 70's New York and its borough's were some seriously crime-infested cesspools, and that movie showcased how dangerous it was getting around (albeit in a futuristic over-the-top setting).

I gotta vote best movie of the 70's as either ALIEN or Apocalypse Now.....

There are so many good ones, and I guess by genre, I'd personally pick

Best Horror: "The Exorcist"
Best Drama: "The Godfather", runner-up: "Rocky"
Best Thriller: "Taxi Driver"
Best Comedy: "Blazing Saddles"
Best Musical: "Grease"
Best Animated: "Charlotte's Web" or "Jungle Book"

The Exorcist quickly came to mind, so I guess I'll pick that as my favorite '70s movie.

Captain Howdy made me do it.
