The Christmas Candle - Nice cheesy period drama. A point deducted for the robot that is Susan Boyle. 6/10

Good Tidings - This wasn't the fun splatterfest I thought it was going to be. I mean there was fun splatter yes but it was such a dark, bleak, dingy, depressing little Christmas horror. Truly grubby, Felt like I needed a bath afterwards. It had home invasion type feelings of fear and helplessness as the 3 psychopaths infiltrate the building and laugh in their faces. I loved the odd music and Christmas carols through it. It did feel a little overlong tho, coulda done with trimming out 15 minutes or so. 7/10

Finding Your Feet - Billed as a comedy, starts off with one person finding out they've been cheated on for the last 5 years, anothers wife is in advanced stages of alzheimers and another woman has stage 4 cancer. Yeah, a FRIGGIN' LAUGH RIOT!! But in all seriousness this was a great little film with very moving performances from the fantastic cast. Plus 20 minutes of Christmas [Razz] 8/10

It's A Very Muppet Christmas Movie - First time seeing this one. Bit of a rough, flat start but as it went on got more and more funny, warm and lovely. The "I wish I'd never been born" freakout by Kermit was one of his greatest haha and I adored his duet with Gonzo. Joan Cusack made a very funny baddy and Whoopi was fun as God. 7/10

A Christmas Carol - I was wondering when this started why the songs were so familiar when I'd only seen it once in 2008 but quickly realised that the amateur theatre production I saw a few years ago used them. I do think it worked better and gave more of the feels on the stage but I still found this an utter cheesefest of joy. Kelsey Grammer's OTT grumpy faces at the beginning had me crying laughing. I do prefer when versions are a bit darker and depressing but it's nice to have them brimming with joy sometimes like this and the 1938 film. 8/10

The Christmas Train - Nice setting, typical eye rolling but nice Hallmark cheese. 6/10

A Boy Called Christmas - Lovely bit of cheese [Smile] 7/10

Jack And Jill - I thought this was gonna be annoying at first but it became, um, interesting? Pacino's parts were hilarious and by the end the film just brings all the feelgoods. I was expecting it to just be a Thanksgiving film but it starts there and goes right through to New Year [Smile] 7/10

Northpole - So joyous and extra sprinkles on the top seeing there is a sequel *squeal* [Razz] 7/10

Runaway Christmas Bride - Full of fun, I giggled a tonne. It was certainly a lot more entertaining than the bore that is Runaway Bride. DeCoteau let the side down a bit here tho, just one topless guy shot haha! 7/10

Christmas Under Fire - Just a ten minute film about Christmas in Britain during the war. 6/10

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - Yes a 30 second Christmas party does count [Razz] Not bad. 6/10

The Bitch Who Stole Christmas - Crappy but entertaining crappy. 6/10

Office Christmas Party - I can't believe I only gave this a 6 first time around. This is a funny, heartwarming, infectious little film that I can see becoming one of my Christmas staples from now on. It was a welcome distraction from feeling so crappy from my covid booster too.

Fave part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1IpsEgTOXA

8/10

Nativity Rocks! - I can't believe that this is the 4th of these films and that I've sat through them all haha 6/10

The Grinch - Sucha cute version and I really like Pharrell Williams' narration. 7/10

All I Want For Christmas Is You - Ridiculously joyous [Big Grin] 7/10

Krampus - The most I've enjoyed it. Just still wish it had gone darker. 7/10

Bad Santa - Rating this a bit higher than normal. Is it odd how he becomes more loveable to me everytime?! 8/10

8-Bit Christmas (2021) - In the late 80s a 10 year old goes on a quest to obtain a NES, takes me back to my childhood, I didn't exactly go to the lengths they did in this movie but certainly did covet the latest tech [Smile]

Funny feel good movie 8/10

Santa's Slay - Seen this loads of times. Always good fun. Good kills, humour, terrible puns. Always feels much longer than 80 mins though. 7/10

Love Actually - Only liked it first time but has super grown on me over the years. 9/10

Peppermint - I had to admire her commitment into protecting that ice cream. Running towards her family as they are getting shot down and never for a moment was that cone in any danger until she was on the ground! A decent little revenge thriller set at Christmas, but not enough brutality for my liking. 6/10

Lost Letter Mysteries: For Christmas - Worst fake snow ever. Just really badly cut white material thrown here and there. 5/10

Snoopy And Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie - Adorable. 7/10

The Nightmare Before Christmas - Flawless. 10/10

The Light Before Christmas - This charming stop motion short is not quite as good as their Halloween one, Spooky Bats And Scaredy Cats, but a yearly must watch in this house. 8/10

Casper's First Christmas - This is an extra on that ^ dvd so I usually end up watching it, it's gorge. 8/10

Christmas With The Kranks - Still don't get the stick this fluffy bit of fun gets. 7/10

A Christmas Carol - Nobody relishes throwing Scrooge's words back at him quite like Edward Woodward haha. 9/10

Elf - The most unrealistic thing about this film is how wildly enthusiastic the woman is when her husband discovers he has a son from a previous relationship! 9/10

Sorry I wasn't any help with this thread. But I really wasn't in the right mood to watch Christmas movies this 2021. So I watched horror movies instead; (naturally).

But I'm glad to see you all had a good holiday and it was more merry than mine was.

Aww, sorry to hear Pyro, hope things pick up for you [Smile]

Hope you at least watched a Christmas horror [Razz]
