We watched Shakedown a few days ago. Starring Peter Weller and Sam Elliot. This movie was all over the place. I don’t know what they were going for here. Buddy cop type movie maybe, with extremely over the top stunts in the middle of New York City. “A legal attorney and renegade cop team up to stop a corrupt cop.” Aside from the two top stars, this movie had a lot of familiar character actors: Richard Brooks, Thomas Waites (The Warriors), Blanche Baker, John C. McGinley, Patricia Charbonneau, and David Proval (probably best known as “Richie April” in The Sopranos).

Shakedown aka Blue Jean Cop is a highly entertaining film from the Shapiro-Glickenhaus Entertainment company. Pure 80s action madness ; )

Hope everyone is keeping well been absent from the forum for a few months had numerous things going on in my personal life and also lost my dad to cancer just before xmas but I'm gradually trying to get things back on track!

Shakedown I thought was pretty decent I can't quite remember the tone of it I know it wasn't quite as grim, gritty as something like Glikenhaus's The Exterminator I do remember the outrageous stunt work the scene on the roller-coaster where Sam Elliot pulls the break line loose and the coaster goes hurtling off the track!

Actually I did like this one quite a bit thinking about it's a pretty cool flick with an equally cool cast!

Young Warrior, I’m so sorry to hear about losing your Dad. I hope you are doing well. Yeah, this movie was not a dark type movie. The stunts in the middle of NYC surprised me. It could never be done today.

to live with a tolerant heart, no matter how crowded the world is, it will become infinitely broad, and no matter how ordinary life is, it will become full of sunshine.
