Watched 2 movies lately that I thought were much better watching when I'm older than they did as a teen in the 80's.

St Elmo's Fire and The Dead Poet Society.

Both I enjoyed in the 80's but watching them now I'm older I feel like I appreciate them more.

Any other movies that you think mature like a fine wine? [Smile]

Yes, the late great John Candy, him and Steve Martin were brilliant in that film, not seen it for a few years so put it on my watch list.

Pittsburgh! YES!!!! Planes Trains, over the last 4 or 5 years, has become one of my favorite all time comedies. It's hilarious and so perfect. I'm already singing "I'm back in baby's arms!" It's that time of year, to watch this movie. I can't wait.

Hoff - I did watch Dead Poet's Society in the last few years and found it be really good. I hadn't seen it before, so can't comment on it being better or worse, but just good overall.

Same here! I thought it was a great movie. I think it flopped at the box office, though?

I think it's the way we perceive the characters and the story line as an adult, life teaches us as we trudge through it so we get a better understanding of what is portrayed in certain movies.

I had to look this up [Smile]

It was the fifth highest grossing film of 1989 and the highest drama.

Oh wow, I must be thinking of a different movie that flopped. All good.
