hello everybody. thanks for havun' me. i need some help. i'm looking for an 80's movie (i think) that stars roy schieder & i thought it was called "Final Approach". its about a pilot who crashes a new supersonic jet on its test flight. it starts out with him flying then schieder sitting in a waiting room confused. he gets called through double doors into a large office room with only a desk with two large pictures on wall behind & a couple chairs. this is the setting for most of the film except his flashback scenes. he is interviewed by "God" or ? to help him realize his life... & death. when he starts to get it he gets mad, doesn't believe it & tries to leave (several times) but as he walks out the doors he is walking back into the same room. the guy calls the blue & red pictures on the wall "Heaven" & "Hell". in the end, when he accepts that he's dead, he leaves to another waiting room, he's called, the double doors crack open, bright light, baby crying... & its him being born again. cool & trippy flic - can someone help me find it?

I couldn't find anything like that, thought you might be talking about The Last Embrace for a moment but I read the plot and found out differntly, did you try looking up his filmography on IMDB?

His films after Jaws on up through the 80's were great weren't they?

YES! yes yes thank you! i guess my time period was a bit off - all the good movies came from the 80's so i assumed that it did too. and james sikking looks alot like roy scheider... right? yes Mr. Gannon, roy was a phenomenal actor. i haven't seen 'still of the night' or 'naked lunch' yet but i'm sure he's good in them, roy was always emotionally in charactor. sorry to see him go - R.I.P. Roy.
** Master aTomic ** you have served me well, thank you my fellow Jedi Knight. my may the force be with you... always!
