Vintage Nic Cage performance as a yuppie who thinks he's turning into a vampire. Robert Bierman's cult classic is a film that divides audiences to this day: As a Nic Cage fan, I'd call it a satirical masterpiece but others may disagree.

Just rewatched Vampireīs Kiss and i think that itīs a great black comedy.
I love Cageīs facial expressions, you just canīt watch the scenes with a straight face [Smile]

All Nicīs girls (Maria Conchita Alonso, Jennifer Beals, Kasi Lemmons and Jessica Lundy) looked fantastic.

This movie was written by Joseph Minion who also wrote the classic "After Hours"
and the great Amazing Stories 1st season episode "Mirror, mirror" so no wonder i like this one too.

This was director Robert Biermanīs first feature film and before this one
he did a tv-movie called "Apology" which iīm gonna watch next.

A fun movie and hey, Nicolas Cage ate a real cockroach.

yeh i really liked vampires kiss,i thought parts were outright hilarious and cage was perfect in his role,i know a few friends who can't stand him but i've always been a fan,his performance in alan parkers birdy is outstanding, the guy can most definitely act even though his choice of roles at times can be a bit suspect.

last film i watched of his was joel schumacher's trespass in which he starred with nicole kidman,it was nothing great but was watchable enough.

Hated it then, watched it last year after a long time to give it a chance and still hate it. Best scene is where ESG, new York funk girl group play in the club scenes. Just find it kind of vile and nasty.
