So....as many of you know, I frequently talk about waiting for my son to go to school (in September of this year) so I can watch more 80's movies.....well.....on April 1st my wife informed me that baby #2 will be here in December! We've been talking quite a bit about not wanting our son to be an only child (although we know many "only childs" that faired out fine)...but still wanted to increase the family by one. A very happy Daddy to be! Though I'd always promised to watch more movies so I can contribute to the Rewind a bit more....hopefully you guys will let me stick around for a few more years.....in 2016....I'll have tons more time!

That's freakin' awesome Kev!! Congrats! [Karate Kid]

Looks like it is more "Grease 2" for you.. wait.. if your wife is reading this.. I only meant "Grease". ha

And as far as 2016.. I can hold on to my crappy cardboard covers until at least then for ya.

such awesome news, kev! [Smile] very happy for you and your wifey. she told you on april fool's day?? haha did you think it was a prank, at first?

Thanks guys! And no Ronnie, I didn't think it was an April Fools prank...I could tell by the look on my wife's face. April 1st was pretty much the first day she could take a pregnancy test...two tests to make sure! We were a bit shocked that it happened so fast....quite an exact science now, re pin pointing the days to conceive. Friends of ours had been trying for their second child, and it took two years...one week for us! I keep making reference to a "magic wand", however, my wife doesn't think it's funny anymore! [Wink]

Congrats to you and the wife, kevdug! Get your movie watching in now, for when you have baby no. 2 you will be so busy you probably won't even have much time for us! Great news!

Very awesome Kev! Guess you'll be watching even less movies though! Best of luck to you both.

Good job Kev, congrats to you both [Big Grin]

I can almost imagine Michael Keaton saying this line: 'So I'll have a lot of free time soon, I'm thinking somewhere around 2016-17, something like that, you know...'

To answer a few of the above questions:

1. I can hold on to my crappy cardboard covers until at least then for ya. Valley....your cardboard covers will disintegrate by then!

2. you will be so busy you probably won't even have much time for us! Pitts....I'll always have time for the Rewind!

3. Guess you'll be watching even less movies though! 80's...Recently figured out that me and my wife both like a little alone time, so we try to schedule it in....should still be able to fit 1 or 2 80's movies per week!

4. 'So I'll have a lot of free time soon, I'm thinking somewhere around 2016-17, something like that, you know...' Kash...you know it brother!

5. welcome to the club aTomiK....two for you as well?!

Fix'd.

Congrats to you and your wife Kev!

Perhaps you could now answer a question for me that I've always wondered about...

Where do babies come from?

* I'm still not sure myself Logan....we've held hands a few times...a kiss or two....long walks on the beach. Each time she's told me she's pregnant, was after a girls night out with friends....and oddly, she smelled of men's cologne??? I also always wanted to be one of those Dads who have kids that actually look like them!

OK...just re-read my own post...and that's just wrong....my poor beautiful wife! Actually, my son looks so much like me, people even question if my wife is his mother.....ba doom ching!

There must be an explanation. I guess we'll never know.

Loving the guilt. It's ok - your conscience is clear. We know you gotta lotta love for the lady in your life.

Sadley....my wife had a miscarriage last Wednesday, so we've been coping/dealing with that. Thankfully, we hadn't told our son about the pregnancy yet...a lot harder to explain to him. Just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes...I was excited to tell you guys, which speaks to my love for the Rewind....will be low key for a bit......

kev, you have my sincerest sympathies. I've had to deal with two miscarriages in my family, and it is extremely difficult. Most folks have no clue as to how sad it is, and society hasn't any kind of set grieving process. You and your wife just take it easy and hang in there. You have many friends here all over the world thinking about you.

Sorry to hear kev.
Just keep the faith my friend.

Thanks so much guys. As I'm reading your best wishes, I can't help but feel a bit guilty for grasping for a bit of sympathy...in an open forum at that...so, sorry for bearing bad news in an otherwise positive environment. I'm not one who typically airs my business in such a way, yet, for some reason, felt comfortable in doing so here. I really do appreciate the kind words...

Kev, that's terrible news. I'm so sorry for you and wife. Words don't do much good at times like this. You have my condolences.

my deepest sympathies too man. That's so sad to hear.
