I was born in 1981 so i was a few years short..damn!I did watch both movies at the tender/innocent age of 4..this was when Thriller (MJ) came out..
I managed to catch AWIL at a special showing a few years ago and met Mr Landis himself.

Anyways, for those who went back then, how was the experience?
Please share..

Good experiences for both films. I saw each of them on opening day in U.S. grindhouses with urban crowds, and they enjoyed them. You could always tell back in the day a quality film because even the worst center city audience recognized one and kept the catcalls and pot smoking down to a minimum. [Smile]

I was born in 81 also but saw AWIL at a very young age too. My family and I (baby) lived around the corner from Nurse Alex Price's flat.
It is my favourite horror movie of all time, and I wish that I did get to see it at the cinema's, but even if I did I would have been too young to remember.

I actually didn't see The Thing until recently and liked it alot, but it is still no match for AWIL.

I have a projector with 120 inch screen and 7.2 surround sound home entertainment theatre with leather recliner. It's like being at the movies by myself. It's still not quite the same though.

Man I saw a ridiculous amount of movies at the cinema in the mid to late 80's and early 90's.
Crocodile Dundee 2 was actually one of them. I will have to check out MOFTU again though, cos I can only vaguely remember watching it on TV as a kid.

He is quite an underrated actor, that's for sure. I will endeavour to check that out this week some time.

Oh yeah! I turned 14 in 1980 so I saw both of those in the theater at different times. I'm stoked to have been a teenager in the 80's!!!!

I think I said this in another post, but it's one of his favourite roles. Lundgren hated being He-Man.

Lundgren should be counting his lucky stars that he even got a role. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy but acting isn't his forte.

Langella likes the playing dark characters, so that comes as no surprise to me Logan 5. I did read that comment in another post also, but was too arrogant to respond to it -
