I watched this movie in elementary school and I dunno what the name of it is and I only vaguely remember what it was about. A kid hacks a computer, or somehow makes a lot of money in the stock market... or somehow makes a lot of money. I remember him buying some kind of Italian sports car. Anyway, for some reason at the end he got found out or for some reason had to give the money back... I dunno.

sounds sorta like "Blank Check"???..maybe...not an 80's movie if i remember right though.

This sounds like In Your Wildest Dreams (1991). It's a family movie, so it would be suitable to show kids in elementary school.
