Looks like a new SE for The Wraith - in wide screen, too bad there's no Blu-ray.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed artwork for the special edition of The Wraith which will arrive in stores March 2nd. Retail will be around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with a 2.0 Dolby Digital soundtrack. Extras will include commentary with director Mike Marvin, an interview with actor Clint Howard, an interview with writer/director Mike Marvin, and a "FutureCar Revealed" featurette that looks at the restored Dodge M4S used in the film and the current owner’s efforts to bring it back to life.

This may be a nice new DVD, but it lacks Sheen to make it shine.

Clint Howard sure grew up to be one ugly man. he was a cute little kid on 'Gentle Ben'

this is one of those i've heard of but have never seen.

Do you remember when they did a tribute to Clint Howard on the MTV awards? He's been in so many tv's and movies proably every one his brother directed haha

Muff, you should check out The Wraith. It's both good and tacky in equal measures.

It's true that Clint's career has been floated by his brother. Which is kinda nice really. You always know when you're watching a Ron Howard movie because Clint pops up.

I remember it was not a terrible movie, but not great either. Here was the real test for me...I am such an easy target for souped up special editions and I will buy just about anything if they give it the special treatment, but when I saw this, I knew I wasn;t going to buy it.

I think the last time I watched it was back in the late 80's.

Sweet! I've been waiting a while for this one to be released. Although the movie is not great, it's a lot of campy 80's fun, and I watched this one a bunch of times when I was younger. Many of my friends missed this one back in the 80's, so now I can show it to them.

I really enjoy this movie. Mostly because of Sherilyn Fenn, but what you gonna do. And it has a fast food diner in it. What else do you need? ...Don't say Charlie Sheen [Big Grin]

Ok now Valley did you give it a viewing??

I saw it for the first time today..........I liked it alot.

Fenn was beautiful there were so many closeups of her face you couldn't help but aww in her beauty and i'm not talking about the body shots haha
 -
Sheen was ok...........but I loved Randy Quaid in it.

Packard looked like he was 40 didn't he? I liked that it had great music was sort of different being set in Arizona.....it was sorta predictable but that was ok because it was unique....I'd buy it and watch it again for sure!

Haven't seen it-but gotta love Clint. So funny in Rock n Roll High School with his office in the boy's room stall. Kind of a poor man's Curtis Armstrong [Wink]

Hmmm, I got the UK VHS with the really cool metallic holographic effect cover, the UK DVD which is dire cropped fullscreen quality, and the Aussie DVD which is superb anamorphic widescreen quality. Not sure if it's worth getting the US DVD.

Good movie. Everyone loves revenge type films and i think this film could be a great hit again as it would be easy to remake. There isnt really that much in it which identifies it as an 80s movie to be honest. No real definitive sound track or icons. The cheese and dialogue maybe but nothing more than what we get in b grade movies today. Someone like james marsden to play the sheen role perhaps. The car chases with todays technology and sfx could make it a great film.

A proposal for a Wraith remake? That's blasphemous!

I donīt wanna see The Wraith with modern sfx.
