Real surprised no one talks about this movie. It has Kevin Dillon, Deborah Goodrich(April Fool's Day) and Jennifer Tilly in it. Dillon/Goodrich has to track down a videotape that's making everyone who watches it kill. The fashions are kind of futuristic, and some cool vintage movie store props and a posh 80's club. This was a cool find. Anyone else a fan?

Riptide, I'm a huge Deborah Goodrich fan and I know this movie well. But it is a totally forgotten movie by most. I will admit upfront that I see it's nostalgic quality, but the movie overall not one of my favs.

But the chance to see Deborah Goodrich and even an 80's Kevin Dillion after his "Entourage" comeback .. makes it worth tracking down for sure.

I don't agree, I think this is underrated, whereas something like Night of the Comet gets too much praise, even though I like that film. No one talks about Solarbabies either.

I guess everyone's personal tastes come to the fore as far as 80's movies go. Some are impressed easy with retro fashions, quips, one liners, where others are looking for academy awards performances. Maybe te retro factor plays strong with me, as some 80's cheese makes me feel good regardless of the ratings. I thought for sure that Night of the Comet was universally thought of as a lost classic.

Riptide, in general we are totally on the same page with regard to 80's movies we enjoy. And I will not argue that "Night of the Comet" is more well known than "Remote Control". And in the world of The Rewind, "Night of the Comet" is a classic, but if you ask some of my friends at work the reaction would be quite different.

Gee, I thought this was going to be a discussion of the TV game-show "Remove Control", also from the late-80's! [Smile]

Not quite, going to have to look that one up too, but bringing up tv game-shows reminds me I have to watch the Ratings Game (1984)w/Danny Devito-Rhea Pearlman again.

That's what I first thought too when I saw this thread. Don't forget Kari Wuhrer started her career on this show.

Kari Wurher? This was an MTV show right? Missed out on that back in the day, still got my copy of Beastmaster though. [Wink]

I need to watch this again. I don't remember much about it. I thought Kevin Dillon in "The Blob" was his best in the 80s. I like the "critically acclaimed" movies from the 80s but I also like all of the B movies and cheese movies. I just like the 80s "feel". It reminds me of my childhood.

I always liked Kari. Remember the series "Sliders." I loved this show. Kari joined the cast in the later years:

Always loved her too, she's still hotter than the sun IMO. I remember watching her 90's b-movies like Boulvard and Red Blooded.

Kari Wuhrer is definitely a full-on hottie! I didn't know she was in Fire With Fire (1986).
