What a classic cult movie that is. I love it!!! The effects are brillant and the acting is fantatic. A horrid slimy monster that imitates, ewwww, just imagine if such a thing was real. The chaos that would cause to humanity.

They don't make sci-fi's like that anymore I will say!!! Anyone else agree/disagree???

The Thing scares the heck out of me...I have it on VHS...but I can't watch it because of the way the effects are with the dog...and then with the guy and his head hanging there...gross.

There are clips of it in "Terror in the Aisles"- that is one of my favorite movies...it was the movie I went on my first date to see.

I love this movie!

I just love everyTHING that John Carpenter and Kurt Russell did together.

This is one of the movies that i must see
at least once/year.

I can't belive it sacres you ISIS. What bothers you about the dog bit? Is it because you have dogs or a dog. I have a dog and I suppose I don't like the thought of any harm being brought upon him.

I think the effects are really good tho. and John Caprpeneter is fantastic at making movies.

awesome movie. one of the few movies where the remake was done well. i won't say it's better than the original since i never saw the original. this is another movie i could watch all the time.

I actually like the original "The Thing from Another World" with Marshal Matt Dillon from "Gunsmoke" fame as The Thing, but I'm a huge Kurt Russell fan as well and this was an honorable remake.
