Aloha good friends and fellow 80s film fanatics.

If I may pick your collective brain for a moment, I would be very grateful if you could point me in the direction of any 80s movies which show the business / high finance world of New York in that great decade when greed was good.

Wall Street, Working Girl and Bonfire of the Vanities are the ones which immediately sprang to my mind. I guess you could also include American Psycho (although it wasn't made in the 80s).

Can anyone think of any others?

Something like 'Big' would also hit the mark since it's about corporate affairs / business / offices / people in suits and ****tail parties etc.

Thank you!

Five more additional business-related 80's movies:

(1.) Although not based in New York, there's Michael Moore's first movie, "Roger & Me", about his attempts to talk to Roger Smith, the then-CEO of General Motors during the time when GM's shutdown of its manufacturing plant in Flint, Michigan took place.

(2.) Not big business, but more like a competitive small business practices...the 1987 comedy "Tin Men", starring Danny DeVito and Richard Dreyfuss as feuding aluminum-siding salesmen in the early 60's.

(3.) "Rollover", starring Jane Fonda and Kris Kristofferson.

(4.) Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason (in his last film) in "Nothing In Common".

(5.) Although not exactly about big business directly, but "Ruthless People" might be included in what you're looking for. It stars Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler.

Oooops...sorry P.S. It's Paul....I lied. I was just looking at the movies I bought yesterday (6 of them, 2 for $10...so $30 bucks), and it Bright Lights Big City w' Michael J Fox...but now I'll be sure to find The Secret Of My Success. Also bought Class, The Sure Thing, Gorky Park, Missing In Action, and Midnight Cowboy (noyt 80's, I know)....I consider myself a huge 80's fan and have over 150 80's DVDs, but I've only ever seen Missing In Action. Anyway...sorry Gigawatt...getting away from your topic...I was just excited to get such a good deal...and not even online...H + R Music at the mall.

Another 80's movie that I just thought of...

The 1980 movie "9 to 5", with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman.

It might loosely be considered as a business-related movie, but it's also one of the earliest movies to show sexual discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
