I know this is probably the most far fetched topic out there, but I have to give it a whirl. My sister, who has lost a lot of her memory from chemo, and I were having a movie marathon while she was having treatment. We are 25 years old, so we were youngin's during the 80's. But are parents had the biggest movie collection of all time. Anyway on to the real part of this:
She can only remember a few vague details. It was a movie about swimmers, or divers....something to do with the water! And there was a scene where there was a snake in a vehicle. I don't remember it, but she swears it was a movie we used to watch. I would love to be able to find this movie for her. So if you have any idea, no matter how much of a guess it is, I would appreciate it. Thank you so much everyone. It would make her day!

Was this an 80's movie? Was the vehicle and snake underwater? Was it a horror and the snake was killing people? Any more little details will help.

Yes it was a movie from the 80's. The vehicle she thinks was a van. But no it was not a horror movie. It was like a "summer fun flick". But she is pretty sure it was a movie about teenagers. or young adults.

Doe's it have somthing to do with them diving at the begging of the movie and they come across some gold and spend the rest of the movie being chased by bad guys?

Could it be "Back To School" or "Campus Man?" Both films featured school diving teams, but I don't remember any snake.

I have Campus Man coming through my blockbuster through the mail. We can give that a shot. I know it was not back to school. We love that one too! I don't know about the whole gold thing. but it is worth a shot! What movie was that?

'Up the Creek'? No divers - but rafting, and a van.

We watched Up the Creek, but that was not it either. We are still waiting on Campus Man though. Thank you to everyone for all your idea's. We may not have found the movie she is looking for, but we sure are having a lot of fun watching all your ideas. This is such a fun thing for her to do. Especially the first few days after treatment. We have a wonderful excuse to lay in bed and do nothing!

WE watched Campus Man and that was not it either. I did some more searching, and I think it may be the movie Swim Team from 1979. I need to find somewhere where I can get a copy of it though. I will keep you all up to date. Thanks again so very much. You all are the best.

I believe "Swim Team" is available on VHS only. I did see it on Amazon.com. Did you like Campus Man? I thought it was pretty good.

I liked Campus Man a lot.
It had a wonderful soundtrack with all those
Michael Sembello songs, Corey Hart etc...

There's "Diving In" from 1990 (can't recall a snake though) to check out as well.
