I'm looking for any movies that start with a guy and a girl who are are best friends. They fall in love and marry when they are adults.

Are there any of those?

I'm sure I saw a movie with this kind of plotline but I can't recall.

If anyone has an idea or knows a movie with a similar plot that they can recommend, please let me know!

"Love And Basketball". It's not an 80's movie, but almost half of it takes place during the 80's.

In Driving School For Girls (1983) the young ingenue Phoebe Turner-Trix falls in love with and eventually marries her driving instructor Mr. Handjob, much to the consternation of her arch rival - the vampish Betsy Doubledee. Who can forget the classic gear stick scene or the famous car wash dream sequence both of which saw many a young man through adolescence back in the early 80s?

Another 'friends falling in love' movie would be The After School Pajama Party Club with the gorgeous Milly Ringworm and rakish Corey Hymen pillow fighting till the cows came home.
