In this one, he is the new kid in town, sort of a 'bad boy' and rides his 10-speed everywhere, but of course, he is not welcome by the school 'tough guy' but his girlfriend shows interest in him, they have a big showdown at the end. Anybody else see that one?

Tuff Turf is one of the first movies I ever rented. I've probably seen it about 100 times and I never get tired of it.

Tuff Turf has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Just thinking about the other urban movies I've seen such as Alphabet City, Class of 84, Night Children. Out of them, I think I've watched Tuff Turf the most. Maybe it's the Spader/Downey connection, I can't explain.

I just watched this again recently and I really felt there was something missing for me. I can't quite put my finger on it. I still cannot believe that Kim Richards is Paris Hilton's aunt. Wicked!

Hello-- Just found this site-- my wife and I were looking through a set of screen captures for this film, because we were in it. This was right before we were married. We were extras at first, but then my wife became the stand-in for Claudette Nevins, and I did some work as a stand-in for Paul Mones. My wife also had a walk-through as a doctor in the hospital scenes after the Dad gets shot, and we appeared together at the country club, and in the warehouse dance scenes.

There was an alternate ending that was filmed at the high school, where Paul Mones' character goes postal with a pistol. During the filming, I developed a friendly relationship with the Assistant Director (you know, the guy who actually does most of the work), Pat Kehoe-- and I proposed a scene wherein Paul comes right by us with his gun-- so I throw my sweetheart down onto the ground and shield her with my body; then as he passes, we get up and run away as fast as we can. Pat liked this, and we shot it several times (Tuff Turf became Huff Puff for us that day!), but then (wouldn'tcha know it) they came up with the other ending in the warehouse... so all our work on that scene was for naught. I'm hoping to somehow find this deleted scene, so we can show it to our four kids!

Awesome story JTB. I've always been a huge fan of "Tuff Turf", so it is incredibly cool to hear your insight into the movie. You've inspired me to watch it tonight and I'll definitely try to find you and your wife in the scenes you mentioned.

I knew about an alternate ending, but have yet to find it either.

Oh and congrats on your family! Do you know how Frankie and Morgan are doing?

JTB-That is very cool. Now, I want to watch the movie too to look for you. I don't know if I have ever seen it the whole way through.

I saw you wrote in another thread that you were in another movie, are you still an actor?

What all have you been in?

I have always wondered about all the extras, in all the 80s movies we have seen, there are so many background people, I wondered where they all went to.

Welcome to the Rewind, I'd love to hear more about ya!

Wow, heck of a story JTB. Had no clue that an alternate ending was made, maybe we can hope a spec. edition will be in the works. I love Tuff Turf, I watch it about 2-3 times a year. I wish Kim Richards was in more movies.

After TT, KIm's best-known films were probably Black Snake Moan, The Blair Witch Project, and I hear she's got a part in the remake of Escape To Witch Mountain. Seems appropriate.

It's to bad she is known more for being Paris Hilton's aunt than for her roles. Thought she was going to be an 80's teen queen, but I guess the business is not easy and probably wanted to raise a family.

Well, for one moment in time, she was that-- even if the recognition for it arrived twenty years late!

That gloriously long hair she sported in Tuff Turf, was that real or extensions?

I'm almost positive it was her real hair. I've read it several times.
