I actually heard this on the radio today. Catherine Zeta-Jones is interested in remaking this with her husband, Michael Douglas. Now I don't know of a remake that is done with at least one of the original actors??

I guess that Kathleen Turner is just absolutely appalled at the idea. She thinks that remaking it will only take away from what she and Michael had on screen.

This would be a good one to remake a few years down the road but with two completely different actors, wouldn't you say??

Yeah...it sounds like a movie for today...because everyone is so caught up in their homes, and average regular people are living in multimillon dollar homes, so the story line actually is one that could relate to today's life style...where they don't want to give up the house, so they both try and live in it...they could make it funny...by taking Ty from Trading Spaces/Extreme Homes, and sticking a story line in it where one of them goes away for the weekend.....and the other spouse completey redecorates the house in a really crazy looking way....just out of spite...and when the other spouse comes home they are totally freaked out, because they are already on the verge of divorce, and didn't want the house redecorated.

But....Michael Douglas is too old now...to make that come out good....it wouldn't interest me at all to see either of them, I don't think Catherine Zeta Jones is a good actress...so nothing she is in interests me anyway.

That movie came out in 1990...cause I watched it at my hotel when I was in Hawaii....so they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel when they remake movies that seem that new. Or am I just that old??? Dang.

I'd say sixteen years isn't that new. [Wink] Seems like a lifetime to me.

They could remake so many other movies, this doesn't make sense. Stuff like the Chocolate War, Seven minutes to Heaven, anything.

It actually came out in 1989. It was airing on hotel TVs and airplanes in 1990, though.

Sincerely,
