They are making the classic 80's animation into a feature film. Director Geoff Murphy is taking on the task of remaking the tale.
Christopher Lee as King Haggard
(he did the voice in the animation)
Mia Farrow as Molly Grue
(Mia was the voice of the unicorn in the original)
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Schmendrick the Magician
Rene Auberjonois as Captain Cully and The Skeleton

I loved the animation and I'm curious as to how the movie will turn out. I heard the release to be November 2006.
I do have the original on DVD and have my daughter hooked on it. She is excited to see it remade too.

Cool! Hollywood likes remakes a lot. They are also making The Smurfs and it's coming out by 2008!
