I think Sarah Connor personally but that's purely because I always thought she was better looking than Ripley anyway...

...although Ripley did come back from the dead...

Ripley, without a doubt. She just kept coming back for more and never took no for an answer. Sarah Connor was a tough chick, but didn't she end up killing herself between T2 and T3? I can't remember.

I gotta go with Ripley on this one too. Who else could stare a live alien in the face??

But Sarah Connor was better looking. Hmmm. I'm thinking a mud wrestling brawl to decide the true champion...

Actually she got cancer. However, in the novelization of T2 she died in a road ambush inbetween futuristic battles...

So Ripley took on a bunch of Aliens, so what? Were they indestructible robot killing machine hell bent on HER personal destruction? No. They. Were. Not. Sarah Connor all the way baby!!!

From a looks point of view, I'd prefer Sarah Connor on top [Big Grin] [Razz] but if you're talking fisticuffs, it'd have to be Ripley. She's a trained soldier, whereas Sarah Connor kinda picked it up as she went along.

T1 was effectively softened up for Connor by Michael Beihn, T2 she didn't kill it, Arnie did. The aliens that ripley snuffed, she did it all on her own.

Actually Paul, Ripley was not a trained soldier. She was technically Aircrew in the space equivalent of the merchant navy with no military experience. She only learned to use the Marines Pulse rifle after being taught how to by Hicks. So technically she learned on the job also. And Sarah may have had help but if she had fought Aliens that went down with a few bullets instead of unstoppable robots then maybe she could have got the job done. Let's face it, Ripley never went into battle totally alone even if she did usually emerge as sole survivor.

ps Again, in the novelization of T2, Sarah Connor was a true freedom fighter and fearless leader in the battle for the future...

She was still a Marine, not a mother. And If I'm looking for someone to protect me - either from ravaging hoardes of aliens or indestructible metal killing machines, I'd want her outside with the weaponry rather than Sarah Connor.

Of course, that would leave Sarah and I with some free time..... [Eek!]

A few bullets? [Wink] T-800, at the end of the day, was just a machine; whereas the aliens were a highly developed bunch of acid secreting, face-hugger hatching, egg-impregnating mothers, and whilst Sarah Conner, tough as she was, only ever had to deal with one Terminator at a time, Ripley faced many aliens and usually had to make all the judgement calls alone (e.g. not nuking the base or reining in Parker & Lambert before coming up with the plan on the Nostromo etc).

Ultimately, this fight would be too close too call, though I’d volunteer to be the ref [Wink]

Since the character of Sarah Connor didn't come into her own until 1991's "T2: Judgement Day", Ripley wins by default.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Sorry for going into 80s Avenger territory for a moment.

I think Uma Thurman as her Kill Bill character would kick all their butts!

Actually wrong again Paul. She wasn't a Marine. She was a Civilain Advisor to the Marine Unit deployed to LV426.

I agree she's a tough bitch but I still think Sarah could take her...

Oh please. How long do you think the Bride and her sword would last against a Pulse Rifle with underslung grenade launcher or even Sarah's pump action shotgun and home made nitro bombs. [Smile]

I hope you were joking when you said that. If not, then get the heck off my case. I apologized in advance. Isn't that enough for you?

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

Hey, she's great at making multiple people gory all at once. She didnt need to use weapons because SHE was a weapon. I mean c'mon give her a gun and see how much more havoc she can produce!

Besides Ripley always got out of her situations with luck and I'm sorry but Sara looks like a freakin man people! She's ugly!

Rosie O'Donnell could beat em all. Hell they'd run from her...

Wild card time...

How about Pris from "Blade Runner"? A violent punk rock replicant babe could defnitely nail a flesh-and-blood fighter. At least that's how I view it.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Well, if you gave Nadia from "Blind Date" a few drinks, she could probably get her Irish up.

I think Ripley would slightly outgun Sarah from many years of experience with heavy artillery. I would then have to escort Ms. Connor back to her apartment and play doctor.
