"Night Of The Comet" was on HDMovienet and it was Awesome. The picture was in High Definition and the sound was Dolby Digital 5.1. I have never seen this movie on anything other than VHS, so it was a total treat. The music at the radio station was crystal clear and the movie experience was wonderful.

The picture was so sharp that I now know for sure that was the "Valley Girl Soundtrack" that Samantha tossed on the floor while she is playing DJ for the flesh eating zombies of the world.

Don't get me wrong...I still want my DVD...but this was a nice surprise indeed. Who else thinks this movie is a hidden gem from the 80's?

Oh absolutely, how did you get this flick on that website that you mentioned??? I will have to check it out. My version on VHS you can tell isn't very good. I would love to see this one remastered and see some deleted scenes and bloopers or something. It will happen for us, what is it that they say........Patience is the key to joy!!!!!

I know, I know, we have been patient long enough!!!!

It's a TV channel, not a web site. They broadcast movies all in HD!

This needs to be released, and for real this time...

Jessie...weird calling you that after JLP for so long, change can be a good thing as long as lovin' the 80's is still involved.

Piratemoviefan12 is correct about HDMovieNet, it's a High Definition Movie Channel that is on my Directv package. I was shocked that a movie like "Night Of The Comet" which isn't even on DVD was showing...so you can imagine my excitement. Only people here would understand, because most people wouldn't be so excited about an out-of-print 80's movie that half the population forgot even existed would be on TV.

An example would be if Isis turned on the channel and "Fire With Fire" was on in it with a perfect picture and those songs she loves were playing in surround sound. Now you know how cool it was for me. [Cool]

I love this movie. All I've got is a copy of the out of print VHS version which isn't all that good. It's fully watchable but I'd sure love a nice, clean, widescreen DVD in my collection!
