I just watched this movie last week. A friend found it for me. It is so hard to find, it is from 1981. I think I remembered seeing it before, but can't remember where.

Melinda Dillon is also in it, she plays the single mom of a 13 year old girl-played by Dana Hill.

The movie is about how young children are lured in to the world of child pornography. It was really disturbing. Richard Masur was the photographer. He is a baseball coach, so he's around kids all the time, and he watches to see which ones don't have a good family life, and he starts taking them out for ice cream, and being real nice, and making them think he's the only person who cares about them, and that's how he gets them to do certain things.

It bothered me, because Dana Hill had to only be 12 or 13 making the movie, and to me that is borderline on what the movie is about, I could never let my kid participate in a movie like that.

With it being set in 1981, I was the exact same age she was then when that movie came out, and it was neat to see the clothes, and the kids hanging at the arcade, and roller skating on the sidewalks.

Richard Masur was such a creep in this movie.

Did anyone else ever see it??

Never heard of this movie Isis. But what you said about the age of the girl in the movie made me think about Linda Blair in The Exorcist. She was only about 10 or 11 when she made that and when you think about the stuff they got her to do in that film.Sheeeesh!!
No wonder years later she said it messed her up somewhat.
Good film though.

I have seen this movie at least 12 times.
They used to play it on TV when I was a kid and my mom always let me watch it.I remember that being totally shocking to me as a kid...that she let me watch it...but I guess the Lesson To Be Learned was so important ....and I've never forgotten it. I even had this on vhs for awhile.
The guy was Ann Romano's boyfriend on ONE DAY AT A TIME,right?
Poor Dana Hill. She died young.
I remember she was playing video games and he came over and started talking to her in the arcade. I also remember he bought her a puppy and when she decided to try to break away from him he threatened to kill the puppy(!) I also remember him putting drugs is the kids orange soda when they didnt feel like posing for him. Wow, so many images from this movie just STICK with me many years later.
Good movie.
(Once again: brought to you from the era where TV movies rocked!)

What??? Dana Hill died??? I didn't know that.

She was in one of the National Lampoon Vacation movies- I think the European one. Right?

That is definately the movie Mamamia, he did drug them, and he did threaten the puppy.

Are you talking about Richard Masur? He was also in Liscense to Drive, and so many other movies.

Ronny Cox was Melinda Dillon's new boyfriend in the movie, and he was really nice, so it wasn't like the little girl had it as bad as some kids do.

Wow, she died in 1996, suffered a stroke from Diabetes. I had no clue about her. That is really a bummer. She's been dead now 9 years, she died at age 32. That just doesn't even seem possible, when I just watched her in that movie. If that movie was made in 1981, then she was really 17 years old...they said her growth was stunted because of her illness, so that is very interesting, for her then to play a 13 year old.

I dont know why I thought she died of cancer. I seem to remember she was doing voices on the USA cartoon DUCKMAN and she was sick at the time. ( I seem to recall reading she smoked a lot of medicinal marihuana around this time) and she died and they stopped making new episodes of DUCKMAN because they didnt wanna go on without her,
And, yes, she was the Audrey in EUROPEAN VACATION (My favorite VACATION and my favorite Audrey).

I know she had a stunted growth but I didnt know she was 17 in FALLEN ANGEL. I guess that makes sense now that they wouldnt REALLY wanna use a young girl in that role (like short teenager Paula Shepard playing Alice in ALICE SWEET ALICE).
