As I understand it, the original release of Pretty In Pink on VHS included a trailer to Some Kind of Wonderful. Paramount actually released two trailers for Some Kind of Wonderful. A 45 second teaser (featuring Mary Stuart Masterson playing the drums), and the theatrical version we see at Video Detective (the version with "I go crazy" playing). Unfortunatley, as is the norm at Paramount, they didn't included either as an extra on the DVD.

I am trying to source an original copy of both versions. Some kind person has sent me a copy of the teaser trailer (which may in fact be the only copy in existance), which you can download here (5 MB AVI) to see the version I'm talking about.

So, my question is. To those of you who own a VHS copy of Pretty In Pink, does yours feature a trailer to Some Kind of Wonderful, and if so, which of the two trailers?

If you post a reply, could you included as much info about your copy as possible, such as PAL/NTSC, year, cover art, country purchased in, retail/rental version, etc. I'm looking for extensive confirmaton here, so don't worry about everyone posting the same answer, that will actually make it better.

Thanks.

Rob.

The home video had the trailer where Mary Stuart Masterson was playing the drums. I started working in a video store right after graduating high school in 1986 and this was one of the first movies I remember processing for rental. Everyone used to tell me I looked just like Andrew McCarthy but I never saw the resemblance. Anyway it was the NTSC version and their was no difference between the retail/rental version.

Hope this helps.
