Vaguely, I remember that this movie was about a young couple in high school (or college)falling in and out of love. The main character is the star of his school's ice hockey team. There is a scene in the movie where he is at a local restaurant/pizzeria, crying and heartbroken because of the breakup. He begins losing hockey games. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Unfortunately, that is not the movie. The main characters were not your typical mainline actors. This movie was played a lot on HBO in the 80s. I have stumped most 80s movies fanatics with this movie description.

shot in the dark... but the guy did play hockey in the movie for McGill University and falls in love with a local girl...
The movie is Called THIS TIME FOREVER also known as THE VICTORY
