Yay!! I was watching the E News channel and there was a story about the "2 Coreys". It showed interviews of them while they were filming the show.

That movie is great...loved the part at the end when Les is driving his parents to the hospital and he has to drive backwards the entire way! Too funny!

Looking forward to adding that one to my collection.

That's so great about the extras, really pleased this isn't being given a bare-bones release like a lot of other classics (most of John Hughes movies...)

I'd prefer it if they used the original artwork: (instead of trying to create something 'funky' and ultimately failing)

or even just a part of the original artwork [Wink]

This movie is on my top three movies not released on DVD list. So I'm obviously excited that it will be available soon! I'd much rather see Mercedes in the trunk than McFly. [Big Grin]

Man I can't wait for this!!!
In fact in my very first post on here in October 2003 I asked whether this movie was out on DVD yet, or if there was any information about a release. [Smile]

And since I found out that my DVD-player is code free, I don't care anymore that it's only out in region 1, hehe!

Ok who's in for this movie! It was $14.99 in the Best Buy ad for release on Tuesday May 3rd. So Cindy, it appears we aren't gonna get Private Schooled this time. This is a must have movie on DVD for me. [Cool]

Wow...where was I???...I totally missed this thread.

I was doing a search for License to Drive, cause I just watched it last night, and wanted to revive a thread on it, cause I knew we talked about it not long, but I missed this, especially the photos...Don't you all think that photos really add to everything???

Anyway, I love this movie, and it is such a great movie when your in the mood to laugh.

Some of my favorite scenes are:

When Les says to his Dad, I have a favor to ask, and you can say no, but I promise I'll never ask for another favor ever again...and the Dad says "Les, you know that's a lie".
I love when he leaves the Dad standing there hold 3 boxes of Pampers, and comes back to get him, and he's sweating to death and going to strangle him.

I love when they pick Les up for the dance, and they are eating dinner, and they are blowing the horn...the mom is eating the giant plate of mashed potatoes with ketchup on them. I love when they scream "Get Out!"

I love when the Dad brings Les up the bottle of champagne , and tells him thanks for saving him $26,000 , and Les says "I don't get it"...and he says..it is simple..$23,000 for the BMW and $3,000 for the insurance..and shows him the "failed" driver's exam.

I love when he takes the exam, and he has to do it without spilling the hot coffee on the instructor, and I love when he takes his picture for his license and how he smiles.

I need to get it on DVD, cause Valley says it has an alternative ending to it, and I want to see it, it seems so bizarre to see all those same people, years later in parts of a movie that were never released...it just seems so weird.
