I think this movie is from the very early 80's - I can't remember much but it was a musical and there was a scene where the male / female leads were singing and dancing around the room on tables and an ironing board - the lyrics of the song included "the monkey in me makes me wanna do it the monkey in me sets me loose..."

can any help? it's been driving me crazy!

This one was fun to trace - it's a movie called StarStruck, from 1982. About the only reference I could find (other than the IMDB PAGE) was this website HERE.
