I just watched this again over the weekend. It really looks like these kids are actually miniatures in this. The set really looked like a real backyard. This is one movie that definately didn't go overboard on the special effects. Amy, Nick, Russ, and Ronnie all get miniaturized and lost in the Selinski's back yard. The children are brought together and really get to understand the meaning of life and learn to appreciate each other. This is a really cute family film.

What are your memeories of this flick???

Until Pirates of the Caribbean was released last year, I considered this the very best live action Disney film of the Eisner era. It's certainly something Walt would have done and enjoyed if he was alive at the time. The special effects still hold up great today. All the assorted perils the kids are put through are wholly beleiveable, and it had a real heart you can feel. Add in a great performance from Moranis, and you've got a perfect entertainment piece (although to this day I still don't get the "French Class" joke Robert Oliveri delivers at the very end of the film).

Interesting this should be chosen about now as movie of the day, as Thanksgiving seems to be the time of year it's most often shown on TV.

I believe it had something to do with French Kissing. He was giving her CPR and he asked him where he learned that he said French Class. If I am wrong on this please someone let me know!
