Well blame me, nothing new there Isis. Of course if she had like the movie, you would have been like "I told you so!"

Well Cindy I'm sadden by the fact you didn't like "Tuff Turf". I really enjoyed the movie, but a major reason was because I have always been a Kim Richards fan. So when a movie came out in the 80s with the Witch Mountain girl, I was like on it fer sure.

This movie had James Spader & Robert Downey when they were young too. The fake wig on the stunt dancer for Kim Richards is annoying though. Well anyway, back to the 80s we go.

I liked TUFF TURF I hav'nt seen it in years but i do remember the movie. I think it's mostly a guy movie you know and i don't remember it being much of a love story. It's a little bit on the violent side don't you think?

This movie was just missing SOMETHING...cant put my finger on it. There were parts that were good (I remember a scene where they sneak into a posh golf course club and play the piano...that was good) but the movie had some cheesy stuff as well. Not tuff enough to be tuff and not sweet enough to be sweet, I guess. Which is a shame cuz I love James Spader (he looks like a friend of mine I used to fool around with: GORGEOUS!) and I like Kim "the little girl from WITCH MOUNTAIN" Richards....it was interesting to see how she looked as a teenager.
This is a movie I wish was a little better than it is.

What do people think of Tuff Turf compared to The New Kids? I only saw The New Kids for the first time this year when I got the laserdisc, was a bit taken aback with how brutal the film was and reminded me of the level of violence at the end of Tuff Turf, only The New Kids had a rawness that TT didn't have.

I just bought The New Kids, at the Vintage Video excursion, I never heard of it before, but I really want to watch it now.

I never heard of that one. Is it good?

I watched it again the other day, I like it because it's rawness in depicting the reality of persecution and fighting to the death stands out above most so-called horror/scary movies of the 80s.

isis, don't let any kids watch it.

As someone pointed out in the IMDB comments, it also reminds me of "Class of 1984" for the similarities; gang terrorising people, ending with brutal violence.
