How often are new movies added to this site? How are these movies picked to be added. I know some movies that are not listed I would love to see on here but I was not sure how to get them added? Someone please let me know!!! Thank you I love this site!

I believe that Nick is in charge of when these movies are added, but you have to do a god job of it. I did a review of Mr Mom, and asked him to let me know if I had to make it better, I got no response. I am still curious of how that went.

Hey Devo, I can help a little with this question - and alsogive advice to all who wonder how things work here.
Fisrtly, as you know, all of the reviews are written by contributors, in the same way that these boards are written - people have great things to say, and they submit them. This board is driven by a commercially available message-board product, and as such it has certain built-in filters for content. Because of that, we can post what we like and see it instantly, and the need for moderation by human intervention is minimal (just Nick and myself are the moderators currently). However, we still need to read all the posts, so it takes time.
With the movie reviews, Nick developed the submission engine himself, and as such all submissions need to be read, checked, and verified prior to being posted, which often means watching the movie afresh - and it's always a new page, rather than a new bit of text, so everything takes longer. And for this part only Nick as the site owner currently does this - but he's also got a job and family, and does this in his spare time and for no cash, hence the delays that can occur while he (a) reads the posts; (b) reviews all the submissions, checks their links and data, makes sure it hasn't been ripped wholesale from other websites (which has happened, believe it or not) and finds images to accompany the review, then posts it; and (c) wades through the thousands of other emails offering him viagra and instant freedom from hair-loss that clog his inbox!
I know that this doesn't resolve the issues and the frustration we all feel waiting for reviews to appear, but hopefully it adds some understanding to the process. It's the attention to detail that is a part of why this site is as good as it is, and one of the pay-backs is the possible delay.
As soon as we know what we can do to speed up the process, we'll implement it - for now, please hold tight, and don't stop sending in reviews - it's the sparks of creative inspiration from you guys and gals that make fast-rewind what it is - the best 80s site on the web.
