What's the name of this movie?:

It's a sci-fi movie from the 80's, probably late 80's, and involves villains with really really long eye lashes, an astronaut-type guy who rides around in a buggy or rover of some sort across a moon-like terrain, and a female protagonist from our world who at one point rides around in the rover with him. I also remember a scene where she's in this other dimension or on this other planet, whichever, and in the next scene she's back home, in her bathroom.
Does this sound at all familiar? What's the title? Thanks for your help.

Sound like that Molly Ringwald /Michael Ironside movie. I forgot the name, but I could be wrong.

It has been discussed before.

No...I don't think it's Spacehunter. I haven't actually seen Spacehunter, but I know about it, and I've seen clips. And besides, the key here is "villains with really long eyelashes". These guys had eyelashes about three inches long, and they looked almost like the people tending the Baron Harkonnen in Dune, except they were darker. And the astronaut actually looked like a NASA-type astronaut, with the suit and all. I got the impression it was a sort of sci-fi Narnia kind of deal, since the girl is from the "real" world and she finds herself either in this world or the other by walking through a door or something. Then again it may just have been one episode of some kind of series. I don't know. I'm so confused! [Frown]
